I'm not certain that I like the hard plastic material it is made out of. It feels a bit chintzy and I would have preferred to have a kind of "rubberized plastic" as I have on other outdoor switches and AC jacks. This may bake in the AZ sun and not last all that long -- we'll see. It's nice and deep, and you can take a really thick cable and a big plug or like an AC adaptor and plug it in, all covered inside the plastic dome. Maybe it should have been white to reflect the heat.
