This is the second time I purchase this cat scratcher because it's that good. It's super sturdy and durable. Like many cat parents, I have a couple of scratchers around the house. However, my cat always prefers this one. I even bought a really cute furniture-looking one which was twice as much as this one, and she still preferred this one. Great size and love that you can flip it!

My 2 big cats started scratching this pad immediately. I trim their nails, so they don't tear it up as quickly as they would and it still looks great after a few months of use. They love to play on it, sleep on it as well as scratch it!

I have 2 cats over 10 years old. We bought a new couch and needed to find something they could scratch on beside the couch. I was worried they wouldn't take too it but I was surprised to see how much they love it! This and a pheromone spray had helped keep the cats away from my couch! Also, this item comes with a small pouch of catnip, which helped Lure the oldest cat to it (my bkack cat, Beebs, doesn't care for the catnip.

This is one of the better scratcher brands available. The large gives bigger cats plenty of room to stretch out on and ample room to scratch. Very durable even if your cat likes to chew on cardboard. It holds up better than any cardboard scratcher I have tried.

This works as it should to encourage the cat scratching harmlessly.

Very durable, and my cat has really enjoyed lounging on this. Also enjoy that this is double sided so when one side gets worn you can flip it. Great product overall

When this arrived, it was a bit smaller than I was expecting from the photos (note to self: start checking the SIZE of stuff before buying!!!)However in this case I'm glad I got it. My cat is a HUGE (not fat) Tom, and really this is a bit too small for him. Nevertheless, he loves it, and can usually be found draped across it and apparently very comfortable.Even better, it's the ONLY 'scratch thing' I've ever purchased that my cat actually scratches (usually they sit in the room like ornaments while he scratches stuff he really shouldn't)So, all in all, smaller than expected, but brilliant nevertheless, and when he eventually destroys this one, I'll be back to buy another. That may not be for a while, though, as it's proving more durable than I'd expected.UPDATE: It's now nearly a year since I bought this, and despite my cat scratching happily at it every single day (and ripping bits off it) the amount of wear so far is totally insignificant. If he'd worn this out by now, I would definitely be buying another, because it's great. But it looks like this one has YEARS of wear left in it. HIGHLY recommended.)

So, this is my 3rd scratcher from Pet Fusion and the quality is undisputed. However, most products seem to be out of stock and the ones that are in stock have almost doubled in price. The bigger one (in the picture) has gone from £60 to over £100, frankly a silly amount of money for what the product is.So this last purchase is good quality wise, but realistically won't do the job for my 2 ragdolls as it effectively disappears when one of them is sat on it :-)Price wise it cost me the same price as medium size cost me previously (much bigger than this and smaller than the big one in the photo)So value for money kills the overall rating for me I'm afraid. 2 stars at most.

Both of my rescue cats appear to love this thing. I have two different shaped ones (the other much bigger), and they alternate between the two. Whatever it is that makes these so comfortable for my furry, and at times, terrifying, babies, it works. They scratch them. They lounge on them. They play with their toys on them.Considering that I have spent an ungodly amount of money on cat toys and beds, which my furbabies feel are substandard in one way or another, it is a delight to not have my money simply go down the drain.There are cheaper alternatives, and I have tried those. They're not worth it. In fact, if you want your cats to like you, just buy these.

I was very sceptical when my wife purchased this!One of our moggies was causing havoc to the stairs carpet and the other cat had just about wrecked the old scratching post. So the wife did a little research and came up with this thing!I roared with laughter when we took delivery, thinking anyone could make one of these with a few old cardboard boxes! But I now eat my words!Both cats took it it straight away! Amazing! No more carpet wrecking, well, until they get board with it...It's now been used for a number of months and it's standing up well.We've now purchased another one for the living room. They don't tend to attack this one, they just lounge about on it.One note though. They came with a very small pouch of catnip. This lasted just a few moments. We buy industrial strength stuff, that's probably been band under the Geneva Convention, and that lasts a lot longer.So there you go, they work!

If you think you find petfusion too pricy, be assured it will be so much thicker, more sturdy and longer-lasting than any other cheaper alternatives on Amazon. I had the larger version a couple of years ago (photo of my 5kg BB cat on it) I'm regretting so much that I threw it away. I'm sure it would still be fine I just got bored of it and wanted a new furniture.... Now the price is so much higher, I end up buying the smaller version, which is still big enough (photo with my 4.3kg tabby on it) I'll definitely keep an eye on sales, and grab it again then!
