Reduces pre-heat time. Saves pellets. Well-made.
Short answer: go ahead and buy it. For those who like details read on.Before buying the BBQ Butler Smoker Insulation Blanket for Traeger Pro 575, Traeger Pro 22 Series I contacted the seller concerning the warning to only use the blanket in ambient temperatures over 40°F. Their reply: "The insulation blanket is meant to hold heat. If you use it in warmer weather it can cause the temp to increase and many of our customers find the temp easier to manage if they're smoking at a low heat, thus we recommend using this to sub-40 degrees. It shouldn't damage anything, but it will affect temperature management." I live in the Phoenix area where daytime winter temps rarely go below 50°. My intention was to use the blanket to better stabilize against temperature swings in windy weather and save pellet usage at any temperature- year around by combatting heat loss through the skin of the smoker. I decided that since my Treager Pro 575 has a digital readout that I had already tested against a calibrated temperature probe and found the Treager readout within 2° of my calibrated probe that I would buy the BBQ Butler Blanket and test its performance in ambient temperatures way over 40°F. Also, I had previously installed a smoker gasket material I got on Amazon called FireBlack Hi Temp BBQ Smoker Gasket Self Stick 15 ft High Heat 1/2 x 1/8 Black found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TAJW0QE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The short of it: my test results far exceeded my expectations: My ambient temperatures ranged from 68° (starting the smoker at 4AM for 12:30PM pork-roast meal) all the way to 101° (cooking Costco pork belly strips at 400° at 4PM for 1 hr & 10 min) in early October 2020. In either extreme ambient temperature the Treager Pro 575 with BBQ Butler blanket preheated in notably less time than without the blanket and it experienced slightly better controlled temperatures than without the blanket, i.e. - showing temps that never went over the set temperature more than 12° or under 8° in windy weather, or 9° over and 4° under during no wind conditions. Low smoking temps at 170-180° were also well-maintained.Pellet usage is down, using about 2 small coffee cans less pellets during an 8 hour roast (which adds up over time).Your particular model smoker may not perform as well as my Treager Pro 575 with its amazing electronics and feed auger control , but I could not be more gratified with the quickly-reached preheat temps (especially for higher temps like 400°-- roughly twice as fast), stable smoking/cooking temps and reduced pellet usage the BBQ Butler blanket produced. Treager says they won't be making a blanket for the Pro 575 because "it doesn't need one" they said on the phone. Well, I'm glad BBQ Butler does because I like it.Installation of the blanket was as easy as it gets. There are no instructions included in the box, but in looking at the photos on the product listing on Amazon I clearly saw how it installs. One change I made before installation (see photo) was to reverse the hanging brackets, backing plates and screws/nuts so that backing plates and screw-heads were facing the grill and the hanging brackets were on the outside of the blanket. This keeps the screw shaft on the nut-end from coming into contact with the painted metal of the grill and possibly abrading the paint and causing rust spots. Other than that easily correctable design boo-boo the blanket is well-made and exhibited none of the problems with fiberglass shedding other reviewers experienced. A great product. I'd sure like to see the manufacture changed from China to the USA even if I had to pay $20 more.

WEAR GLOVES WHEN INSTALLING!!
*UPDATEUsed it and worked great! Still, WEAR GLOVES WHEN INSTALLING IT! Your hands will thank you!*——————————-*Full disclosure, I haven’t used this yet, and will update review after using it.I wanted to let buyers know that after installing it my hands were covered in tiny shreds of the fiberglass. It’s been painful and near impossible to get them removed.I can’t wait to try it out, but please wear gloves when touching it!

Very easy to install
I know its expensive, but I had a hard time getting the grill up to temperature during cold nights in Colorado. Once installed it heated up in a fraction of the time and maintained temperature without any problems and I definitely saved on pellet usage. It will pay for itself in pellet savings alone. Very easy to install.

Insulates well, not sure about the construction/materials used
Seems to insulate well in cold, winter temps. My Traeger heats up faster and uses fewer pellets- it does its job well. It is easy to install- I just laid it over the grill and hung the short section in front with the metal 'hooks'. There are straps for securing it underneath, but I have not used those. As others have noted, there are some concerns about the construction and materials used. Upon opening for the first time, it had long threads that seem like they will unravel easily. Once I put it on the grill, I have not removed it, and probably will not until Spring. Still... you obviously should be able to do this. I am uncertain about the long-term longevity of this blanket. I would expect higher quality-control for this cost.Overall, I am glad I purchased it, but question the quality and longevity.

Smoking blanket
This product seems to be well constructed and fits the Traeger PRO SERIES 575 PELLET GRILL. Have used the grill once so far since installing this product seems that the heat did hold more consistent. So far overall satisfied as it should do the job

My wife cut off excess and resewed it fits perfect now, gets hot faster uses less pellets
I bought this for a renegade elite As Traeger doesn't make one for the renegade, but the size of the grill are very close to the same, the blanket was about 1 inch wider than my grill, My wife cut off excess and resewed it fits perfect now, gets hot faster uses less pellets, I've used my grill when it was zero outside. I recommend anybody that has a smoker grill use one of these.

Not the best, many issues/defects
Mine looked like it was used due to the fraying sides and corners in addition to some scuffs and black marks. To add onto that disappointment, I feel like anytime I touch it I get fiberglass splinters in my hands, I feel like I must have been given a defective product since I don’t see many other reviews of this. Sadly I can’t return it since it was bought as a birthday present and we did not notice until after the return period. It still works as an insulator but the rest is a bit disappointing.

Painful
Can’t touch the item without getting millions of fiberglass splinters. Wouldn’t be as much of an issue but the instructions recommend not using the cover of outside temps are over 60 degrees, meaning I can’t just leave it installed.
