I was skeptical when I heard about beneficial nematodes, but they work. I had moles in my yard, and my daughter mentioned these little guys and how they work to eliminate grubs. I tried them, and within two months my mole problem was gone. You'll need this, a sprayer to put them in and hook up your hose, and the time to water your lawn with them. That's it. Easy peasy. You will need to do this twice a year, as the grubs and moles will come back if you don't. Small price to may for a flat yard. BTW, my yard is 1/2 acre, so 50 million is needed for this size yard. Highly recommend.

When I received the product we had a drop in temps so I decided to store in the fridge in hopes of a warm up. After almost two weeks the temps are up in the 50s during the day so I decided to use today since it's predicted to be decent during the day for the next week. As you can see from the video there are lots of live nematodes after almost two weeks in the fridge. Hopefully, my weather holds its long enough for these to do their magic.

Did exactly what they were supposed to do! I could see a difference in my lawn health within 3 days of using it. It was mainly for a pretty bad army worm infestation, but even the areas that I thought were healthy, are ACTUALLY healthy, now. Customer service was also good. I was worried about shipping dates and they responded pretty quickly for a holiday weekend.

Mine showed up alive. Second time I’ve used them. Don’t know if they work because last time I still got aphids. But they can’t eat stuff that gets eggs laid on leaves. I knocked off a star for the price. But when you’re one of the only games in town and have to ship with an ice pack… well u charge what people will pay. Apparently enough folks like me are paying. And there’s not enough competition for a bunch of freeze dried bug eggs. I posted a photo and video of the live ones. Some weren’t moving but the majority were.

Jury was out until now. Last year one evening, as if on cue, Japanese beetles came out of the soil and swarmed my gardens. I ignorantly grabbed two beetle traps. They were flying into them as I held them! Over the season, I saw the traps fill up by the hundreds, certainly over a thousand. Turns out, those traps lure them! This spring, I followed manuf instructions and watered these nematodes into my garden where I had placed the traps, as well as around the plants they most heavily attacked. A-mazing! Halfway through their season and I have very little presence, maybe 100. So, so grateful 💖 Will purchase again.

I bought this last month after lots of research and reading the reviews for our back and front yards for our persistent issues with subterranean termites, springtails, grubs, and fungus gnats especially, although our yard just seems to be a bug party more generally as well, and I am not having it. We have kids, dogs, and vegetable gardens, though, so we wanted something that would “kill the pests and not the guests.” … or us. So, this seemed to fit the bill. After a month or so of pestering my husband about my plans, I finally won his support. I had read that, for a heavy infestation, doubling up on the bug count was advised, so that is what I did: 50 million for a quarter acre (slightly less, tbh). It came the next day with an ice pack in the package, which had melted, but the ad said that was ok as long as it wasn’t hot, which it wasn’t. I stored it in the fridge for a few days so that I could ensure the correct weather forecast for optimal success, and when it all looked right, I performed the first application. Prior to application, I soaked our yard with regular water in the late afternoon to the point where I felt certain that the lower levels of soil were saturated and created a concentrated gallon as instructed. I realized at this point that I didn’t have time to do both the front and the backyard at once, so I opted to mix half the bag this time and conserve the rest for when I had time to do the front yard - the back was more important anyway. After I had completely mixed the powder(ish) stuff into the gallon to make the concentrate, I stirred it in batches into a watering can and poured it over the entire backyard (so, just under half the total area of our quarter acre property). Now, I was really confident about the problem being solved. I made sure to keep the yard watered really well for the next couple weeks. But I kept checking the major problem spots in the garden and the subterranean termites were still there, gross and numerous as ever. The grubs, still there, although maybe a few less. The gnats were still in force. Etc. After about 2 weeks, I had had enough and I was out for blood (or whatever bugs have instead). I took the other half of the powder(ish) stuff - still in the fridge out of the suspicion that the first round hadn’t cut it, - and did the whole process again, this time focusing all that fire power on the gardens. I just wanted to see if it even worked. And to my delight, a few days later, an exploratory dig revealed the terrible tunneling hoarse was mostly dead or dying!!! Hip horray!!! But sadly, that means that the rest of our yard is still alive with these disgusting creatures. And I am committed to their destruction. Seeing as I now know that they are vulnerable to the triple threat attack, I am planning on using it again when we get paid on the first, but the fact that I bought twice what was recommended for my entire property and it was only able to alleviate about 1/8 of the total area in question, I am probably going to try another brand. So tldr: it works, but I suspect another brand may be more effective for the cost/quantity.

I followed the instructions EXACTLY. I received the product. I immediately put the product in the refrigerator. We waited until we had several rainy days forecast, then applied using a new sprayer following directions exactly (waited a few minutes time they advised before spraying, and sprayed it WELL within the suggested 6 hour limit). This was all done WELL within the time frame the seller suggested, only a week after receiving product. We made sure the ground was watered regularly. We applied generously. We did the suggested repeat application a few weeks later. BUT THAT WAS NOT ALL WE DID. You see, as a gardener who doesn't use pesticides, I was so excited to think this product was going to naturally help control pest bugs that I ordered MORE. I wanted a great garden this year and based on the rave reviews I reordered a bigger size. Despite the ludicrous shipping, both times the cold pack was not cold when we received it BUT they said this is no problem if the item doesn't smell (it did NOT). I put the item in fridge immediately as both times I was home when it was delivered (I work from home). SO I did MORE applications a few weeks apart, exactly per instructions. AND DID I MENTION I FOLLOWED ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY AS PER THE DIRECTIONS? Because that's just how I roll. I was careful and wanted it to work. I EVEN ASKED MY NEIGHBOR WHO HAS A GARDEN IF I COULD "SHARE" MY OVERPRICED NEMATODES WITH HER, AND SHE KINDLY LET ME SPRAY HER GARDEN - BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT HER BUGS HATCHING AND COMING OVER TO MY *FANCY SCHMANCY NEMATODE PROTECTED PEST-FREE GARDEN* You see, I was going all in. I was in it to win it and going ALL THE WAY, doing everything this product directions said to do AND spraying my neighbor's garden too! So, after all that... here were the results (the below bugs were all bugs this product stated it controlled): Today I had to put row covers on all cucurbits because the squash vine borer was back darn her, I found eggs on stems & leaves and had to pick 'em off. I've been going out many times a day all week catching Japanese beetles by the dozen and feeding them to my ducks. The cabbage butterfly caterpillars were back so I had to bust out the neem oil (which I wanted to avoid). The red beetle things were back eating lilies (not that I care about lilies, we don't eat them). Caterpillars everywhere devouring my apple and pear trees and rose bushes. We have aphids but BLESS MY ARMY OF PAPER WASPS, LADYBUGS AND PARASITOID WASPS, they always control aphids for me, our aphids never get out of control or cause any real plant damage. Oh and the garden roaches? Plenty of 'em. Now I have to buy MORE expensive row cover and hoops to cover my pumpkin and watermelon because you can be SURE the borers will go after those if they can't get my covered squash and zucchini. This product was a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY AND EFFORT. My garden is no better off than usual, and I am an AVID gardener who spends lots of time in my garden and we have lots of good bugs, birds, etc. The bugs that I was concerned with stopping were listed on this product as working. If you have an aphid problem, this won't help. I saw the same amount of aphids as always, but again, my beneficial bugs always get them. And the japanese beetles! I have to manually get them and I always win the war because me and my kids go out daily and catch them in jars and feed them to the ducks (we call the quack snacks) but I was hoping not to have to do that this year. So, in a nutshell, this product DID NOT WORK and I so, so wanted it to.

I live in an incredibly rural and woodland area. It’s magnificent to share space with all of natures creatures, except for the ticks!!! I have been treating my yawn, flower beds and walk ways with nematodes in hopes I can reek ecological terror upon the deer ticks that I am so desperately afraid of getting bitten from. The process is easy and straight forward and fingers crossed repeated attempts to go a chemical free/return to native plants and less grass lawn pays off in the long term.
