2 parts to this review. The short version first (the TL;DR), then the detailed review later. (Oh, My GOD....please stop talking!!) I bought this 50Ah battery specifically because of the 3.2 volt cells inside, wired in series for 12.8 volts. They're tough, built like a tank & last for many years. Off-grid cabins use these cells, only larger. It doesn't have the silver-ish colored battery packs (like a cellphone does) or the 18650 cells clumped together, like portable power stations & similar products & other 12 volt batteries do. Yes, I know those are just Lithium & not Lithium Iron Phosphate. Big difference there. You really DO get what you pay for here! Good Grade A automotive cells with a BMS all in one package. It arrived here with 13.18 volts but couldn't test the amperage as my multimeter only goes to 10 amps. So I hooked it up to the charge controller, plugged in the panel & it took 380 watt hours to reach absorb mode (14.2 volts) For 2 hours it absorbed, then switched to float & the voltage dropped S L O W L Y....to 13.5. Full charge! Only took around 7 hours to reach absorb.. So yes, please charge (a LiFePO4 charger ONLY!) this fully before using it. The voltage on arrival was good, but the capacity just wasn't there...YET! It's easy to be fooled, as we're used to lead acid batteries & how they work. This is NOT that kind of rodeo with a LiFePO4 battery! Part two: What I bought it for... This battery replaces a 35Ah AGM lead acid battery for a portable solar kit I pieced together, used for dry camping (or car camping) or just to have power when shore power isn't available. I DO live in hurricane country so it's nice to have at least 100 watts of free power as a backup. That kit consists of a 100 watt flexible mono panel (weighs about 4 pounds) feeding into a Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT charge controller. This Redodo is just a bit larger than the 35Ah AGM I took out, but I found some foam padding that can be placed inside the group 29 battery box to make everything snug & easily transportable without rattling around, & the charge controller sits nicely on top of the foam. It's not pretty, but it works...& that's the name of the game here. It! Just! Works! All the accessories I use for camping either are 12 volt direct, 12 volt rechargable, or USB. No need for 120 volts...I'm not running a restaurant! Charging the cellphone, the portable TV (hey...gotta keep entertained at night...right??), run a small fan & have lights at night That's all I need. I no longer have to monitor the battery for the dreaded 50% Depth of Discharge curse! I can take a LiFePO4 WELL beyond that level & still get more cycles out of it than I can the AGM. But since that AGM is around 10 years old, I've seen a decrease in power retention or how much power it delivers, so it was time to upgrade (& futureproof!) the battery to a LiFePO4. I can't comment on the longevity of this battery, since I just received it about a month ago & have only used it for three days & nights, camping. But if the vendor's claim of at least 10,000 cycles is true, it will last for many years. As far as value for the money goes, only time will tell. Good products will last for many, many uses & will need little to no attention or maintenance. Bad products are tossed into the bin, vendors are notified & refunds are mandated. Nobody gets angry, everyone keeps their cool, it's just a business transaction that didn't work out. That's only fair, right? Redodo, at the present time, I'm happy with the purchase. It does what it claims to do & I can't ask for more. Thank you!

Very good battery, I use it to power 3 hds live fish finders on my boat and it last all day long. Highly recommended.

*Updated: The first battery seemed to not hold a charge that well despite many tries. It was under their warranty in which I had bought under "Zooms". I reached to their new company name "Redodo". Quickly Lillian responded and sent me another "Zooms" battery to test out. She's been patient throughout and trusting of me. As things moved past the holidays into the new year I was truly unsure at first but we communicated throughout. I believe I got it figured out now. For me it is best to charge around 15 amps. When I charge faster it seems to also consume power quicker as well.. Also when it drops down to 10% or less it gets more unstable which I now use it as a sign to charge up as I don't want to leave it in that state. I use both solar to charge and also an AC to DC adapter. I think it's safe to say this a great battery. Taking into account line power loss and inverter efficiency I am able to run this thing 80%+ capacity almost each time. Thanks again Lillian for your great customer service the new battery works well in which I use almost everyday!

I run a soccer league, and we have a digital message board that displays the time. It was powered by a 12 Volt lead acid car battery and a power converter. Carrying the 60+ Lbs. battery to the field was very difficult and tiring when you have to lug the battery for at least 100 yards. I also had to keep the brightness low on the message board so not to drain the car battery too much. Now with the Redodo 12.8V 50Ah Lithium Portable LiFePO4 Battery it made life so much easier. At about 14 lbs., it was a breeze to carry it, worked very well powering our message board. I can also turn up the brightness knowing that we have the power to last for the entire night of play. So far we have no problems with the battery.

!!!!! .UPDATE!!!!!! CHANGING MY REVIEW TO ONE STAR UNLESS CUSTOMER SERVICE MAKES IT RIGHT AND HINORS THEIR WARRANTY. my entire story with the email chain to prove it, is below. To put this into context, I have 2 amped outdoors 16v50ah lifepo4 batteries on my fiberglass ranger boat and I decided to try these redodo 16v30ah for my LVS34 Livescope and GLS10 Blackbox, plus 2 Garmin Echomap Ultra Gen 2 12" graphs on my 19ft aluminum ranger. I use my fiberglass boat traveling the Midwest and southern lakes fishing tournamentd and the aluminum ranger ONLY gets used when I'm fishing a local derby with a horsepower limit since it has a 115hp outboard and not a 250hp like my other ranger does. So with that said, I've fished a total of TWO DERBY'S with the aluminum boat since I bought this redodo. 1st one was fine since it was a short 6 hour nighttime derby that I didn't really use livescope much for after I found the fish, they were just setup on points and it was fish after fish every single cast so I didn't notice a problem other than the voltage being under 16v already after not even an hour on the water.. Went back home charged it to where it wouldn't take another 0.001 amp, and it's resting Voltage was 16.10-16.13volts.. which is NOT where it's supposed to be. After doing a capacity test I didn't even get a total of 20 usable amp hours out of this thing brand new. So I messaged customer service and I'm in the process of dealing with them and their "please to this test" and share the results.. which Ive now charged and discharged the battery FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES for them and gave them the results.. and I'm still waiting on a reply back.. I will say I'm thankful they answered but I'm very optimistic they'll actually do anything. Will report back here if they actually HONOR THEIR WARRANTY or if they don't. Another thing.. I am lucky enough to have a programmable DC ELECTRONIC LOAD TESTER, A PROGRAMMABLE DC BENCH POWER SUPPLY, countless lifepo4 chargers and tools.. which their test basically require you to have in order to pass the results back to them without guessing (which is nearly impossible to do).. I don't like how their warranty makes us customers do this because say it was my mom, and she bought this for her pontoon boat, and needed it to be warrantied, she wouldnt know where to start and would pry be out 150$-200$. I've ran my Amped Outdoors 16V50AH batteries both for nearly 28 months now and I capacity tested them just to see and their both still well over 50amp hours and run perfectly! So I guess it's true you get what you pay for but I also hoped these guys would honor their warranty since the battery has been bad from the start! Again I'll let u know what happens after 10 emails back and forth with redodo customer service but I'm finally done with the tests and waiting for a reply again now. charging specs I use for mine are Charge Method - CC/CV Charge Voltage - 18.25V Charge Current - 6A (0.2C) to 10A (usually just use 6A) will only charge anywhere from 32Deg to 104Deg F. ****BATTERY WILL COME DEACTIVATED, YOULL NEED A SPECIFIC CHARGER TO ACTIVATE BMS OR USE A BENCH POWER SUPPLY TO APPLY VOLTAGE AND THEN IT'LL WORK LIKE NORMAL AND YOULL BE ABLE TO FIND IT ON YOUR BLUETOOTH BUT WILL NOT TAKE A CHARGE TIL ITS ACTIVATED**

I bought 3 of these, 1 has failed in under 1 year. Support is emailing China there is about 12hr time difference. So took a week of emails to get a return authorization after multiple troubleshooting steps all taking a day due to time difference. Altogether 3 weeks and waiting. Batteries do live up to all the lithium promises, but dealing with China is slow.

Redodo is priced slightly higher than competitors. Their products are reliable and high quality. Have stuck with brand in solar configuration because like with like is good a thing to pay attention to. These units equalize and share information with each other respectively. As rule of thumb never best option to mix and match if you have a choice not to, regardless of which brand you choose. This was purchased for a seperate project mated up to a 12V 100W flexible panel for vehicle peripherals; C.B. radar detector and dash cam will all be powered off 50Ah battery. My Redodo has always arrived with 13.15V charge! Delivery by FedEx is fast and dependable

I highly recommend the Redodo brand for LiFePO4 batteries. First off, this is neither the cheapest battery, nor one of the more expensive brands. I know a lot of people get all excited paying 2-3 times as much for a Bioenno battery since that's what all the other hams are buying, but I am not one of them. This battery seems to be pretty good so far as far as runtime and capacity. I had ordered a different brand battery first based on good reviews, but quickly sold it when I realized that for the weight of the battery there was no way it was rated accurately (too light to be a 50AH LiFePO4 battery). This one is at least a little heavier, so more likely to be a good battery. No issues with the charge controller, or heat issues. It takes a while to charge once drained, so that is also a good indicator of its capacity. Once charged, it seems to hold a charge well if not used for a while. I use this for powering and recharging devices and powering lights or fans when camping, and for Amateur (HAM) radio, both as a mobile power source for POTA, and as a backup for power outages at home. I personally use and recommend the NOCO brand chargers with this battery, and they work great. The LiFePO4 batteries are SO MUCH LIGHTER than traditional lead acid batteries, it is unreal. That alone makes it so much likely to be used, and therefore more useful to me. It came packaged well, and it comes with screw caps to help protect the terminal from accidental shorting when in use or while transporting. If I had to find one fault with it, I wish it had a handle, preferably removable. However, like I said earlier, it is pretty light and had recesses in the top that can act like hand-holds when moving it. I did a lot of research before buying this battery, and this one came out on top of 50 or more. It has great reviews both on Amazon, and on YouTube. I wish I could have afforded the 100AH model, but for now I will have to make do with the 50.

Great packaging. Walled polyethylene foam. Keep the box and foam for storage. Foam can be placed under the battery as an insulator for keeping the battery warm. Great customer service, follow up after delivery and easy to contact. 29 April 2024- Follow up. Great battery, I have two now and swap them out now. Great portable power with a 500 W at inverter, will last much longer than an "all in one power box". I have read reports stating the battery loses charge overnight. This is not factual. Read the batter manuals! Life PO charging for 12.7 V at 100 % charge = ( 13.33V). To balance the cells, the mppt or wall charger will over charge to 14.4 - 14.6 V before the BMS stops the charge process. Then, after the battery sets for 12-24 hours, it will show a drop to the 13.33V dc reading. This is not a loss of power; but a settling down of the balancing electron overcharge to the 100% charge SOC (State of charge) battery manual level for 12.7V lifepo4 manuals. In a 50 AH bat, you will typically use 80% before BMS shutdown. On youre MPPT charge controller, it will show that 35-40 amps as having been put back into the battery on the MPPT "after charge" live readout. Get a quality battery two decimal place LED screwdriver meter for better understanding, keep considering results of discharge and charge to the manufacturer's SOC manual rating and confusion of when to charge and disconnect will be resolved.

I've had the 50ah battery for about a year and used it in outdoor equipment. It's performed flawlessly until today. I'm in Toronto. The weather here was -4 C today and the battery is totally defunct. I'm assume the BMS has shut it down. Will investigate further. It did seem like the battery went through other days at these temps without any problem....so I'm not sure what's going on. Update: I was able to charge the battery and all is well. I must have drained the battery. Customer support at Redodo was excellent. The battery can discharge down to -20c, but it can only charge above 0 deg.C. this may be one of the issues causing it to lose charge in winter.

Battery seems incredible but was missing the posts. The seller immediately sent me them but they haven't arrived yet. The battery looks fantastic and was well packed etc and I'm sure will be great.

I recieved the battery and used it in my campers. Stored over the winter and when i took it out it wouldnt charge. I contacted the company and they were very prompt in getting back to me. They asked some questions and asked that I perform some tests which I did, but to no avail. I was speaking to Tina and she sent me a self addressed return and I packed it up. I received an update the next day that they got the battery. Tina sent out another one 2 days later and I got it in one day. Outstanding response and service. Good to know they stand behind their products. Would gladly buy again.
