I bought this specifically for grinding back burred and mushroomed metal edges in hard-to-reach places, and it’s been excellent for that. It has enough power to clean up damaged edges properly, but it’s still small enough to get into awkward spots where a bigger grinder just isn’t practical. The variable speed control is really useful, especially when you’re trying to tidy something up without taking off more material than you need to. The kit comes with a decent range of attachments and accessories, so it’s useful straight out of the box. It feels solid in the hand, and the little light on the front is more useful than I expected when working in tight or shadowed areas. A nice bonus is that I can sharpen my knives with it as well, which wasn’t the main reason I bought it, but definitely makes it more useful around the shop.

This is my first experience using a Dremel, and I am already excited about all the possibilities this little tool is going to open up for my woodworking and craft projects! I have a small woodworking shop and enjoy taking pieces of offal and turning them into something unique. I wanted a tool that would let me add more detail to my projects, shape and smooth those hard-to-reach areas, and give my finished pieces a more polished look. Being completely new to a Dremel, I was a little unsure about how difficult it would be to learn, but I have found it easy to use and I'm having fun experimenting with the different accessories and learning what each one can do. That's probably what excites me the most—there are so many different attachments and accessories available that I feel like I've only scratched the surface of what I'll eventually be able to create with it. I'm looking forward to learning new techniques and seeing where my creativity takes me. I have a feeling this is going to become one of my favorite and most-used tools in the shop!

I'm doing a rebuild of my puter table. The top had to go, and it being a real wood desk, it was worth trying to save. So, with some woodworking skills, I set out to do the job. I discovered, i'm not a master at gluing, and it came out a bit wonky. Hand sanding it would have taken just about forever. So, I got this, to try to cut down on the work. I found a Utube video to show me how to make my own sanding disks. It worked. It's pretty easy to use. I played with all the supplied parts, until I figured out what each does, and doesn't do well. For the money, it is a pretty good value. Mine is the corded one, and doesn't have a battery. The machine does get pretty warm to the touch after a while, but in that case, just take a break for a few minutes, and it cools off. Esp. if you lay it in front of a fan. Overall, it's a pretty good tool.

It hangs in a way that it is easy to turn in and adjust it runs it's flex shaft with precision keeping it as strictly the power source for the attachment keeps.it clean and helps prevent rock dust clogging it up and slows.the wear on the brushes and internal components I love my Dremel for rock shaping and polishing it does a job with my opal projects.

Good Quality - but it has its limitations. For a dremel type tool, i suggest getting the actual dremel brand over the generic, as the tool itself is much better quality. I like how this dremel has adjustable speeds and the little included shield protector. The quick change head is a nice feature tool. But the accessory bits are a little cheap and wear out fast while carving into wood. I've had some of them shatter and break apart.

Absolutely worth it. I needed a rotary tool that ran well at slow speeds for fine sanding on detailed wood work. Had used two other brands / models before, but often would gouge the wood if not extremely careful. With this purchase, I am amazed at its control at lower speeds. The price was also by far the best here vs box stores. No regrets at all so far.

This Dremel 4300 is the one tool I should have purchased many years ago. I had a cheap knockoff but could not find it for my last project so I decided to go with a Dremel because after reading some of the reviews for the cheap tools they only worked once and the next time they went to use them they would not turn on. I am amazed at all the different inexpensive tools available for my new Dremel 4300. I read the manual before using the tool and I am glad I did because it says the tool needs to be run at full rpm for 5 minutes before using to seat the brushes. The second-best thing I learned from reading the manual is to let the tool rpm due the work and not apply pressure to the job at hand. This tool is designed for high rpm and low torque the exact opposite of an electric drill. The manual even tells you the correct rpm setting for each different tool.
