Kindness Counts: A Story for Teaching Random Acts of Kindness (Without Limits) Paperback – Picture Book, September 13, 2016

Much like the books about Braden, my five year old son absolutely loves this book. (This author is amazing.)This book tells the story of a boy — Cade — learning about what constitutes a kind deed, describes scenarios in which the character practices kindness, and gives a specific list of what a kind act should entail: unexpected, above and beyond, and without expectation of reward or reimbursement.I especially like that my son relates to Cade, his challenges and his misunderstandings, and how gently and effectively the author addresses them.

Great little book. Good specific advice on what random acts of kindness really is!!

Book focuses on teaching what a "random" act of kindness is with plenty of child friendly examples. Purchased as a read aloud for 4th grade students and it was perfect. Very concrete. The main character is a 4th grader!!

This book teaches kids about random acts of kindness. The little boy in the story experiences a random act of kindness at the drive through window with his family, and his dad repeats the act. But he decides to do some random acts of kindness himself. He doesn't get it quite right the first time, but then he pulls all three aspects together and figures it out. It's a good read.[...]

I had my nephew read this book and then think of random acts of kindness we could do. We spend a whole day doing them and at the end of the day he asked if we could just do one more! I love this book.

This book is perfect for our 4 and 7 year old, as well as for my classes of prekindergarteners. We will be purchasing more Bryan Smith books. They are easy to follow and offer support for tricky topics!

Sweet book. Helpful for children and some adults could use it to read as well. Prompted our 7 year old son to give away toys he didn't use anymore! We could all use a little more kindness in our day!

Nice book to read to a seven year old. He really took in the message and made connections.
