I got this baby monitor to use to listen to my kids while I'm outside. We have a lots of playdates and sleepovers but the adults like to go outside around the fire at night. This allows us to be able to hear the children, to make sure everything is okay and also be outside enjoying adult interaction. I love that I'm able to hit the side button and be able to speak to them and vice versa if they need a parent they're able to just say it and we can hear it. Their rooms are at the front of the house so it's great the range this monitor has. We can hear them absolutely crystal clear. It doesn't come with wall adapters so you will need to get those. You are able to use batteries for the handheld but the monitor needs to be plugged into the wall. The added bonus of the soft light is also great. It gives off just enough light in a room. I'm sure this would be wonderful for a baby. I'll recommend this baby monitor to any of my friends who are expecting children. Great product!

I just had a baby and needed a baby monitor. This one has features I really like. It comes with 2 charging USB cords, one for the parent unit and one for the baby unit. It doesn't come with a charging box so you will need to use your phones charging box. The parent unit also has a place for batteries and the monitors came with 3 rechargeable batteries. That baby unit comes with a night light built in which is probably my favorite feature.You click a button on the side and a soft light glows. On the parent unit you can set the monitor to vibrate or sound, a great option if my other boys are too noisy I can feel the vibration while wearing the unit. It also has a walkie feature that is really nice so I can talk to the baby and let him know I am on the way or tell dad I need something if he's with him. The baby noises and cries come in very clearly and works really well.

These monitors are made of white plastic, and have pink and blue print on them. It comes with 2 USB cables, so there is one for each monitor. The monitors themselves are a parent unit and a baby unit. One for the parents room, and one for baby's room.There is a night and day mode button on the monitor. This button looks like a night light. If the green light comes on it is day mode and if the orange light comes on it is night mode. Holding the button down for 5 seconds changes modes. A greenlight will come on when the unit is charged and if low on power, the red light will come on which indicates a charge is needed. This can be plugged in to computer or laptop to charge.There is a talk button that one can press to talk to your baby and sooth him or her is she is fussing. The volume button is located on the side of the device. The parent monitor has a handle so you can slip it in your pocket or tit to the belt loop of your pants. There is a alarm range built into the gadget so if you move out of range, it will put out a constant beeping noise, plus the red and green light will flash on and off. if the battery is low the monitor not only shows a red light, but will beep every 30 seconds. Wish this would of been around when we had small children and babies. What a neat product.

For the most part I noticed this item had pretty good reviews but then it had some negative I was a little on the fence before purchasing but decided the price was right and it was worth a shot anyway. Honestly I don't know why everyone's complaining it comes with 2 power cables one for each unit it comes with batteries for the parent unit the only thing you have to get is the AC adapter which most cell phone chargers have now and have two spots on for 2 cables. You can even go down to the Dollar Store and get one for a couple of bucks or order off eBay for a dollar no big deal. Anyway after setting this up my kids decided to give it a whirl. They had a blast running all over the house in the yard pretending it was a walkie-talkie and it worked completely fine all the way in the corner of the backyard. I'm do with baby number 3 here in less than 6 weeks and I'm more than confident that this monitor is going to be of great use. From the handheld unit I can turn on the NightLight turn it off talk to baby, I can hear clearly from way across the house adjust the volume all the good stuff. From my own personal experience and testing from two preschoolers this item does exactly what it's supposed to works great and very cost-friendly.

Review Edit: I lowered my stars from 3 to 1 because this monitor doesn't differentiate between the sound of my son getting up or the dog moving around. His bedroom door makes noise when opened and it doesn't even register that sound and I had the sound turned up. The main noises you can hear from it are a wooshing sound. I did my previous review before I was able to test the product fully.The product itself seems to work ok. My 3 stars is because this product does not include a wall outlet. It gives you the USB cables but not a way to plug the product into the wall so if you purchase this make sure you either buy a wall outlet if you don't have extras.
