Gives off a beautifully soft amber light. Have had this for about two months and everything still works. Wish the plug-in base came in different colors - it's not nearly as stylish as the lovely salt topper, so it would be awesome if it came with color options to blend in more with it's surrounding decor. Would purchase again solely for the design and soft light of the salt topper itself. The square top is more contemporary than the lumps that are more common, this is like a mini piece of contemporary art. No idea if there are the health benefits from these that sellers claim, but it is certainly easy on the eyes, and there's value in that.

I had always wanted a salt lamp and this one was inexpensive and compact enough that I thought I'd try it out. I was a little bummed that mine turned out to be more white than orange, but I guess every block of Himalayan salt is unique. It's an extremely bright night light! But I swear, this thing is a miracle worker. I suffer frequently from migraines, and when I feel one coming on, I turn this baby on. Within 15 minutes, my headache is gone. I wasn't expecting this little perk but I'm very happy with it!

I purchased four of these for gifts and was disappointed that one arrived damaged. The salt lamp coloring is very different than what is shown in the photo: one was white, one was beige, one was light pink and one was orangy pink, which is what I hoped all of them would be. The plug in area is very flimsy which makes putting it in and out of the outlet difficult. And lastly, this is a very, very bright night light-so much so where we had to turn it off at night, which negates any therapeutic properties one might have otherwise benefitted from it.

This sucker is BRIGHT! Compared to my Larger salt lamps, this is the brightest. I bought it to use as a nightlight in my daughters’ room and it put off too much light. I now use it in the hallway so she can see when she gets up at night.

Update:Bought as a nightlight, too bright for that but ended up using as another light source in dining room that gave very nice glow. Haven't had it long & went to turn on this morning & the switch broke, very disappointed as it worked out so well as the extra light.

Love this salt lamp. We have several others but when we saw the small nightlight type ordered immediately. Is great, the soft glow is so soothing, we just love it. Best small/night light ever.

Lots of light from this little plug in. Its heavy and wants to tilt a little because of it but is not an issue. Just a touch straightens it and so far is staying in place.

This makes a beautiful night light in BR. Very fast shipping too!
