It smells good but it’s not that strong. You have to be right up in persons face for them to beable to smell it on you. Great for layering perfumes.

I was hesitant to order this due to other reviews saying they couldn’t smell any fragrance. I’m glad I purchased so that I could try it out for myself. This is a beautiful, warm classic amber with moderate sillage and it’s very long wearing. It’s not particularly powdery like some ambers tend to be, with my body chemistry I actually pick up more of a ‘fireplace’ note. I like to mix this with the vanilla oil for a slightly more feminine yet mature scent. If you can’t smell this product, you may not be able to detect synthetic ambergris, which is very common. Others can still smell it on you. It arrived securely wrapped in bubble wrap, so the glass bottle was protected unlike with other fragrances I have ordered.

I had a small vial of this in my possession for a few years and recently began using it in combination with another perfume. How I loved it, so I ordered this larger size. The scent, however, is not the same as the older product . It has a strong vanilla smell to it with the amber scent really not prominent. So I ordered amber separately from another company and layered it in applying the perfume, and that solved my issue. I do not know if I'll buy this again, will try other combinations and see if I like something else better. I'm disappointed that the formulation changed....

Ive been really enjoying learning about perfume notes and accords. So, I was looking forward to purchasing a few base note oils to play around with layering perfumes. I was disappointed by this amber musk oil. It is of quality. Its a nice carrier oil and the fragrance is strong and smooth. But to my nose the vetiver is very strong on the “dry down”(do oils dry down? Lol). I think it is too masculine, resiny or earthy for me? I am not sure how to describe it… but Its even too strong to layer it with other perfumes. I like vetiver in Chanel perfumes and a soap by Aesop Exfoliating Hand Soup but there is just something about this that is overwhelming I love the vanilla musk by this company. Its an amazing basenote for everyday and it truly enhancing any perfume honestly (probably not aquatic or green but most perfumes) making them more warm and sensual. A hug with a cozy sweater. But, again, the Amber Musk isn’t giving warm sweet cozy. It gave sweet resins but smoky woodsy earthy and dusty. It definitely gives me an image of finding a piece of amber in early November in a state park. But I just dont want to smell like that … I am not even sure if vanilla or a rose-oud would balance it out for a feminine autumn or winter scent. So, ill probably throw it out. Idk who would like this… maybe a man?!

I love this scent! I opened the package late in the day and HAD to put a little on. A little goes a long way.

Beautiful earthy fragrance. Great if you like sweet smells but want something more grounded. Not too incensey (if thats what you want this might be a little too subtle). I definitely recommend to reapply throught the day. But overall love this oil and would buy again!

Way to roll on, fragrance lasts all day, easy to travel with, love the scent and I always get compliments when I wear it. Mostly that it’s a nice light scent that they do not find powerful.
