Farnam Aloe Heal Aloe Vera Veterinary Cream for use on Horses and Dogs 4 Ounces

The aloedine shampoo is 1) incredibly effective for soothing my dogs skin. 2) Makes her fur very soft. 3) Like another buyer said, it works great when you put it on dry, too, but it is rather sticky that way. 4) It doesn't stain, even if it does get on the furniture. My dog has a flea allergy and will tear herself to pieces if a flea even sniffs her, so after I've put drops of it on her scabs, I let her lay on a towel or blanket before she gets on the furniture and spreads that yellow all over. But again, It doesn't stain: not the furniture, towels, blankets, or any clothing. 5) After washing and rinsing, while her fur is still wet, I lather a little bit all over her to dry; she likes being burrito-wrapped in a towel and snuggled for drying, so it works out that she can't lick the lather bc she's swaddled like that. The most important discovery: 6) She chased a skunk last night. The aloedine shampoo with my method: wash, rinse, lightly lather and let dry - completely removed the stink from everywhere but the very tip of her nose and beneath her eyes, where I didn't get too close with the soap. It also removed it very well from her plastic cone, less well from the Velcro cloth portion of the cone though. I've been using a single tub of that horse/dog wound care for her skin for around 5 years and it works amazing, I just figured I'd try another product before reinvesting in that tub. And I have to say, Farnam really is it. My dog hates getting anything put on her, but Farnam products make it worth it! I don't have to put Farnam products on her more than every other day, and it actually gives great results in that amount of time unlike anything I've ever bought elsewhere. Worth it. Every time.

Been using for yrs. Had horses and they would get skin mites that dogs and cats can get. A bath with this will kill them safely in a day or 2 with 1 dose. I always keep a bottle on hand but my new neighbors dog had a bad does of mites and vet was treating with antibiotics which kills stomach bacteria that the dog need to digest food and did nothing to the might. So I gave him the bottle I had. It also works safely on people and kids. Will kill any bug. I know at school sometimes have head lice, It will work. BUT yes it does smell like iodine. So I got another for me.

This is hard to find in stores. Works great for dogs, has helped his coat and sores the dog gets from rubbing in the grass

I have a pit and her mom and dad both had skin conditions, and to no surprise, it got passed down to the puppies and they had it ever since around 4yrs old (my pit is 8yrs old now). Coconut oil helped a bit but nothing permanent. My pit would have practically her entire back hairless cause of how bad the skin condition was and the vet offered medication but for like $200. Wanted to try anything else before having to pay the $200 and found this. I used it ONCE on her and all her hair is back and it’s been 3-4 months since I used the shampoo and her skin has been find ever since. I bought two thinking I would need it but no, had to use it only once so far. Super greatful to this !!! And my doggie had barely any bad reaction to the shampoo (all the other shampoos I used caused her pain) and wasn’t fighting it as much. Great cost, comfort and softness. I don’t remember the smell to be honest. Performance perfect overall.

I didn’t love this product it didn't seem to help inflammation on my dog like other products do

My yorkie has had terrible allergies and skin issues since I got him almost 10 years ago. Most recently, I noticed his skin had gotten incredibly dry and flaky. In my search for “dog skin exfoliator,” I came across this. As soon as I rinsed it from his skin, I noticed an awful soap scum pooling around his legs. Try as I might, I could not wash it off. I did two more lathers and it didn’t get worse, but it also would not go away! Finally, I decided to take him out of the tub and dry him off. Imagine my surprise at realizing the “soap scum” was just all of his dry skin flakes!! I combed him through, and ended up with a handful of dead skin… and the smoothest, happiest, itch-free yorkie I’ve ever had!! My little man’s skin has NEVER been this healthy. Will continue to buy this one for many years to come. Don’t hesitate to try it- you won’t regret it EDIT: 1 year post-purchase and I am coming back to repurchase. This stuff remains just as good as the first time!!

Great cream for dogs with allergies and skin infections. I washed my dog with farnam viodine shampoo and followed with aloe heal. Amazing results after only one use! The bumps on his back are almost gone overnight and his belly is looking better too! It seems to reduce his itching a great deal as well. I have a pitbull with very short hair and a bare belly so it was easy to use on his whole body and not greasy at all.

Keeps paws smooth and moisturized. Works well.
