Work as advertised
Good option for pulling spool pins. I cant imaging trying to pull pins without these and not damaging a pin. I will note that the only reason why I didn’t give them 5 stars is because the pin used to push the spool pin out could be a bit larger. Make sure your spool pin is free of lubricant and it’s lined up. I marked up the edge of of one of mine as it slipped. Still working but it’s still possible to damage pins with these if you are not careful.

Performance out weighs the cost!!!!
Works perfectly for removing those delicate spool pins from the shafts of my high end fishing reels! With these pliers I know I'm not going to damage the spools in any way, and that makes upgrading spool bearings a simple and quick job!!!

it works but
metal will disfigure if pressed too hard on a stuck spool pin, not hardened steel they get the job done otherwise

... I bought cheap aluminum ones that get stripped so easily trying to remove spool pins
So I purchased these because I bought cheap aluminum ones that get stripped so easily trying to remove spool pins.It worked great first 2 times, but after the 3rd time, i have noticed the pin on the pliers are starting to bend. for a 40 dollar pliers, this should not happen! In addition, the pliers are not aligned anymore. you have to align it manually to ensure the pin is pushing down properly.
