Instructions can be found on Amazon review site the box instructions are very poorly written. Unit does not work as promised because router password does not pass through the device. No hand shake. Maybe other units work, this one does/did not.Returned same day. Unit runs very very hot to touch. Thank goodness Amazon stands behind sales. BTW I never heard back from vendor through E mail ( not using the extender).

Not happy with this repeater. It works intermittently and will drop signal. When it feels like working its great and I can have wifi almost anywhere inside and outside however i am very disappointed in its signal reliability. I mainly use it in an area of the home where I get weak signal and it will grab the repeater signal work for a bit then lose signal even though it shows I have range bars so will have to try another device. I tried several different locations and there is no true wall between wifi and repeater so should have no issue but I do. Set up was easy and had up and running within 5 minutes. I switched between 2.4G and 5g as well and does the same on both signals. I am using with an Android S7 phone and Galaxy Tab and MacBook Laptop and issues are same on all devices.

I purchased 2 of these based on the reviews I read from Amazon, but when I tried one out, it got so hot that the bandwidth dropped down to a lower speed. I tested it with an infrared heat detection laser, and it stated 112 degrees. Then I understood why it failed since most electronics are good to 104 degrees. The power in my house is 115 volts, so I knew that wasn't the problem. I was going to set these up in a 7500 square foot house that I am working on, but decided to buy the TP-Link EAP225 AP, which works flawlessly and stays alot cooler than these repeaters. I do not recommend this product.

This thing is pure garbage. Don't waste your money. Seriously. You will regret it. the instructions are terrible. The reception is terrible. It's 20 feet from my TV in an open concept house and it loses connection all the time. The unit runs hot in temperature always. I have to unplug it and plug it back in all the time. Ironically enough my normal wifi tends to perform better than this trash. You can't reboot it from the IP. U have to unplug it. You also have to create a new wifi extening network, you can't just repeat the same WiFi network. (Screws you over for things like media servers). Again, don't buy this. You'll regret it.

Disappointed because it is pricey and I had high hopes. Did not improve the reliability or speed of my connection (my connection is not running at the potential level of the router). I put the repeater half-way between the router in another room and my desktop wireless USB wifi adapter. Tried with two different adapters in my computer and couldn't see any changes in speed (even in 5G). Compatibility is good and setup is easy, though. My router is only 40 feet away (1 wall) from my desktop with the repeater in-between, in the same room as my desktop.

This wifi extender is easy enough to connect. problem is it doesn't stay connected. after a week or so, it will become disconnected from your ring camera or PS4, and have to be power cycled and reconnect. Sometimes the device needs to be connected again also, yep retype all those passwords. Not worth the trouble.

I had high hopes for this gadget. I researched for awhile, and bought this because of the positive reviews. It was very easy to setup. The extended WiFi is really not that much greater than my installed router. It worked great for about a week. Two weeks in... It constantly loses connection, rendering it pretty much useless. I wish I had spent my 50 bucks on something else. I wished it worked betterUPDATE!!! This device is now completely defunct!! It quit working all together in July. I just tried to login to the IP address to try to reset it, and it you cannot even login into it. It is a piece of junk. 9/15/2017 Find something else!!

Wifi signal improved; however, the device over heated after only a few months of use. Accordingly, after it burned itself out, there was NO longer any amplification at all. Extremely disappointing, the burn out happened many months ago. I keep forgetting to do this, type this. Please, buy a BETTER one! I had a "roommate" move out months ago which allowed me to centrally locate the household cable modem.
