One Ballon Had A Hole But Works
One of balloons had a hole in it, but overall, it works.

work well, but be gentle with them
These take a long time to fill and can tear easily, but they do work well for a season you will loose several every winter to splits

Worked but...
Overall the tubes worked however:After one Iowa winter several of the tubes suffered blow-outs from freezing. No they were NOT filled to max, far from it. Enough tubes survived to keep the cover weighted down against the wind but fire next winter I'll need to replace several of these. Next winter I'll add pool safe antifreeze to the tubes, that should prevent tube blow-outs but will cost a lot of extra $$ at winterizing time.

More hold power than expected.
More hold power than expected. We have a small oval pool that is about 30 feet by 18 feet and own an oversized pool tarp with straps. We were using landscaping bricks to hold down the tarp but it would still slowly sink into the pool as it rained. We purchased (6) 8 foot water tube and (2) 10 foot water tube. We used the (2) 10 foot ones on the long side of the pool and the (6) 8 foot ones around the oval curved areas. See attached picture. We likely over purchased on quantity as the pool parameter only have about 8 1 to 2 foot sections without a water tube. However, since we purchased in bulk on amazon it was fairly cheap. The best surprise was that the water tubes could be positioned along a curve. We did not use the pool tarp straps for the water tubes and instead opted to curve around the pool oval parameter to allow for more walking round around the pool in the winter. The curved solution was the best looking pool covering we have had in years. The solution we have can hold about 6-8 inches of water on top of the pool water surface and not cave in. We were really impressed. This means we no longer had to rush to place the a pump on top of the tarp after it rained in case if caved it. We even left for a 10 day vacation without worrying to ask a neighbor to check on the pool. The only time the tarp caved in on a section of the pool was when a friends dog (70lbs) got on the tarp to get a bird. The dog’s weight was localized and not spread out so a corner of the tarp came out from under the water tube. The water tube is made of strong material and does not easily get pierced. We only have one hole from the dogs nails and she ran around the pool all winter. The hole was easily found and patched with a bicycle tube patch for less than a dollar. The have used the patched water tube the following winter and the patch held up.The red end caps are a bit hard to close, but my husband can easily close them after I fill them. We store the water tubes in a shed out of the sun when not in use and so far have not had any issues with quality.

Wasted my money - not like the ones I received before.
I am so disappointed with this purchase! I have used these tubes for holding my pool cover for a long time. I have ordered the single tubes and been very satisfied. There was no reason to believe that I would not be just as pleased with this purchase. The shipment arrived quickly and was perfectly packaged. The address was from Robelle, so I was confident in the product. It is made in China, but that's no biggie as long as it's well made. I have received about 3 years of use from the old tubes and some were still in good shape, so I assumed these would do well. The quality of the vinyl seems fine and the "welded" seams are good. The tubes come individually wrapped. I filled the first tube and tried to close it and that's when the problem showed up. These normally fit snug and are sometimes difficult to open; but with a little urging, they usually close just fine. Not this time. I have a pretty decent grip and it was a struggle for me to get the first tube closed. It wasn't from weather either. The temp is in the 60s today. I had to work it around, keeping even pressure and push HARD in the middle to finally get it to close. It was not the satisfying "snap" closure that all my other tubes exhibit. I thought maybe it was a fluke, so I filled the second tube. I have even more trouble with this one. I had to squeeze and wiggle - and finally laid it on a flat surface and exerted a lot of pressure with the palm of my hand to get is closed. I realized at that point, that I had made a mistake. These are normally a little tight when I try to open them in the spring and empty the water. After closing the second tube, I realized that it was permanently closed. It was too late to send them back, so I continued to the third tube. I filled it and when I tried to close it, I realized that it was even harder than the first two. The opening had been put on the tube and was in an oval shape, but the closure plug is round. They are slightly flexible, so I tried squeezing the shape, squeezing the plug - everything I could think of. I got it close, with just about 45 degrees of the outside arch not closed and could get no further using every trick I knew. I even tried stepping on it - about 200 lbs of pressure per square inch and it still wouldn't close. Can't send them back and can't use them as they are. I don't know if the one's I got were old and the openings were inflexible or if Robelle has changed Chinese manufacturers, but these are different from the ones I have received before. A total waste on my part. If I was evaluating the previous products, this would be a five star review. Maybe your experience will be different from mine, but I would suggest a different brand or purchasing at the local pool store so you can see the product before you purchase. I'm uploading a photo of the third tube so you can see the problem. I hope this review is helpful.

They work. Double chamber vs. single is more of a pain in filling up.
They work. I needed some water tubes for my pool tarp and this was the only game in town (or on the internet I should say). They work and are as durable as the singe double wide tubes. My only complaint is that it takes twice filling up (left and right side). Just a little gripe.

Use around the edges of our automatic inground pool cover
My husband ordered these water tubes to sit around the edges of our inground pool winter cover. He places these around the edge then fills them with water to help to keep the pool cover in place all winter long. These also keep leaves and anything else from getting into our pool. The water in them does freeze but these are made of such good material that they do not bust or break open. This is the second time that we have purchased these so we know how well they work. They do last for multiple seasons. In the spring, you just let the water out of them, clean them up and store until you need them again in the late fall.

Lacking in quality
I've bought previous brands over the years and they all fail. This is by no means an exception. 3 of the tubes have sprung leaks within 2 days of use. I even took extra caution to not carry these around when filled, made sure to place them exactly where they will lay. Upon filling with water 2 tubes had what seemed like poor seals that just leaked, and i see that another tube is already lacking water in 1 of the chambers. I cannot recommend this product.

They are not difficult to close and they work well as pool cover weights
The company may have changed the closure design but from images, they look the same. I was worried about comments that closing the valves was near impossible but in the absence of options which showed any difference in valve design, I ordered these. I filled and was able to close without any issue. Perhaps this was ok as the temperature was warm when I did, with full sun. Plastic was warm and pliable so maybe cold temperature makes closure harder? Not sure. Also not sure how durable and if they will last the winter but for now, I am ok with these. 4 stars as I thought the material would be thicker.

One came with a hole in it ..
We have bought these previously in blue for a much lower price. One came damaged as was evident when it was filled & then went flat overnight. They are good but not sure if the material is overly resilient. No way of contacting the supplier to ask for a single replacement which is disappointing.

Lasted 1 aussie summer! Australian sun and UV levels are too high for this.
This only lasted 1 summer in australia. The material is definitely not UV rated. as you can see from the pictures The band on the robelle pool cover bands was the only thing that saved the plastic. But only after 1 summer the plastic cracked and split letting out the water.
