Are these pans pfoa free?

Yes, Our Vesuvio pan is totally PFOA free, and more importantly PTFE free. We have a propietary Ceramic coating free PTFE and of all heavy metals. PFOA is also known as C8 and though the Teflon industry has voluntarily stopped using PFOA, it still uses C6, C10 and many other compounds in the same family. The American Cancer Society says this about PFOA: "Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), also known as C8, is another man-made chemical. It is used in the process of making Teflon and similar chemicals (known as fluorotelomers), although it is burned off during the process and is not present in significant amounts in the final products.PFOA has the potential to be a health concern because it can stay in the environment and in the human body for long periods of time. Studies have found that it is present worldwide at very low levels in just about everyoneâs blood. Higher blood levels have been found in community residents where local water supplies have been contaminated by PFOA. People exposed to PFOA in the workplace can have levels many times higher."I hope this helps!

Is this a flat bottom pan, good for smooth top stove?

How do we get the pan covered under warranty? The nonstick surface is no longer working.

I would go to www.daterracucina.com and e mail them. Realize that Ceramic is truely stick resistant and not non stick. I am happy with my pan so far
