## Description

The Rockville D14 7000w Peak/2000w RMS Class-D 2 Channel Power Amplifier is built for professional DJs, live sound engineers, and audio enthusiasts who need power, reliability, and portability. Featuring a rugged all-steel chassis and weighing just 10.14 lbs, this amplifier is compact yet strong, with a 1.5U rack-mount design that fits easily into your setup. Delivering up to 2000w RMS (1000w x 2 at 4 ohms) and 7000w peak power, the D14 drives passive speakers and subwoofers with precision. Its versatile operation modes—stereo, parallel, and bridged mono—let you configure your system to suit any performance or venue. An LCD display shows per-channel volume and operating temperature, while the built-in limiter, crossover switch (bypass/80Hz/160Hz), and LED indicators provide precise control and monitoring. Engineered for durability and dependable operation, the D14 includes combo XLR/¼" inputs, Speakon and binding post outputs, heavy-duty rack ears with handles, and built-in variable-speed cooling fans. Multiple protection circuits (short circuit, thermal, and DC overload) plus a user-replaceable fuse ensure long-term reliability. With worldwide voltage support (100V–240V, including US 110V standard), this amplifier is ready for any stage, club, or mobile rig.

Review: Lots of head room makes a big difference. - It may be a budget brand, and the numbers are exaggerated a bit. It is a better amplifier than what you think. Even though it was designed for the disk jockey, this amp sounds amazingly good to me. I have good speakers that can handle the high power to a point. If you run this amp at or near max power that signal is now very dirty with distortion and other bad things an electrical engineer would have to explain. With this much power, they are too powerful when pushed to the max for most people. Back off the gains a little bit and the signal cleans up nicely. It sounds so good with that much head room that I just started to giggle a bit. It's too much power for an apartment, but what a way to get outstanding sound for not much money.
Review: Lightweight and POWERFUL... - It should be noted that I ordered the D-14 which is LESS than 10 lbs and delivers a whopping 1400 watts (RMS) at 8ohms. (The non D rated amps are much heavier.) This all started when our small band began booking gigs OUTside where much more power is needed. We first purchased a pair of Rockville RSG 15" PA speakers (excellent also) and I didn't feel my Crown power amp was going to give us enough punch. Adding the D-14 with the RSG 15s has given us a very impressive sound system in a lightweight package. You cannot go wrong with this system and can be had at a much lower investment than a Crown, JBL, Yamaha, or QSC system. (One note though: In a studio application, you may find the cooling fan a bit loud for the environment. In a live venue, it's just fine.) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What cord do I use to make this play off of a phone?**
A: I just got a $20 bluetooth transmitter and it works fine wirelessly.

**Q: So its got a double volume left and right double volume?**
A: On amps those arent volume knobs to set up properly your receiver controls your volume. Those are gain knobs. You wanna crank your receiver up to about 80% volume and then turn the gain knobs up to get maximum volume and sound without clipping. Using the gain knobs for volume increases distortion to speakers. With my set up my receiver goes to a 3 channel eq/ crossover with dedicated subout. Then that runs to 3 different amplifiers. A basic quick set up is my receiver is cranked to 80%max then I adjust my eq for gain on it using built in meter for maximum volume without clipping EQ then move on to Amp. Besides my sub amp my other two set somewhere between 12 and 22 gain. The amps peak power is not determined by how high you crank gain. But those are not volume knobs.

**Q: What about the power source? is it autovolt?**
A: no

**Q: Does anyone know the true rms on rpa16?**
A: What’s written in the specs is pretty accurate.

### ⭐ ROCKVILLE DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS
*by T***N on May 18, 2022*

D14 sounded ok, but developed an intermittent issue with 1 channel. The channel quit and the other one now flickers the clip and signal light and makes a noise through the speaker. Called Rockville and wasted 30 minutes of my life to find out after 4 months they aren't going to do anything about it. I guess you get what you pay for with this garbage.
