L.A. Girl HD Pro.Conceal, Lavender Corrector GC993

After maybelline discontinued the only concealer I could find that was in a shade light AND cool enough to completely match my skin tone, I have been hunting for ANYTHING to replace it. I've tried the palest concealers from several brands amd multiple different makeup lines. None of them were both cool and light enough to accurately match me, and I simply can't go too high above budget to risk getting yet another concealer that is dark and yellow despite labeling itself as "cool porcelain" or "fair rose." Even the shades often regarded as being the most pale friendly seemed to be disappointing. So, I tried color correctors. First, I tried one color corrector and concealer bundle, a pure white and the lightest concealer offered by a different brand, a combo that was personally recommended to me when I emailed the brand asking for the best way to get a shade match. Unfortunately, all this did was lighten, and did not take away the yellow undertones, despite this concealer being labeled as cool toned and the brand itself assuring me that a simple white concealer would be enough to get an accurate shade match. So, I scooped out my purple eyeshadow and mixed it in. It worked great! But after three scoops of white concealer, one scoop of their lightest shade, and my purple eyeshadow dwindling, I realized that I deserve an easier morning without all this unnecessary mixing. I got a different concealer, one that does seem to have cooler tones, but not cool enough nor light enough, so I ordered both the lavender shade LA girl concealer and a white one just in case. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I don't think I even needed the white! The lavender is light and cool enough to brighten and neutralize the yellow. I was a bit worried at how grey it turned my concealer after being mixed, but after I applied it and the makeup got some natural oxidization, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the makeup completely shifted into my perfect natural shade. Normally, the oxidizing causes me to look more yellow, but for the first time, I looked more rosy and fair. It blended into my natural skin tone perfectly! It actually matched both my neck and my arms! I no longer need to meticulously mix three different colors and products to achieve a simple concealer shade, I can just add a dash of this lavender to my concealer and apply it. A little bit definitely goes a long way here as well! It also held up significantly better than the previous combo I was using, it lasted all day. Overall, I am extremely happy with this product, it has made my mornings so much easier. I still wish I had my magical concealer that was a perfect exact match back, but this is a much better substitute compared to any other alternatives I have.

A good mint color corrector for pale skin. I find it controls redness well around my nose and on active spots. I've found it to blend well, especially with a brush. I prefer to apply it with a separate brush instead of the brush included in the applicator so I can get a more natural application and avoid overapplying product. The mint shade would be extremely ashy on medium to deep skin tones because it has a very white base. It lasts awhile, especially if you apply it and let it dry before blending. It does seem to come off on days when I apply a lot of sunscreen, which is to be expected. I also don't powder my face though. Overall, it is a good product for the price. I have found the fluid Elf color correctors to be a little sticky and not as blendable as this formula, especially in the under eye area.

Good for under red lip to cool it down

I have an allergy to acrylates and skin with zero yellow undertone. Most blue pigments have acrylates in them, so I can't use them to balance out foundation with yellow undertones. This is perfect for my skin to balance out undertones without an allergic reaction!

No matter what they tell you, this will absolutely leave you looking green. Unfortunately, the tube comes with a brush at the end of the applicator, so I literally cut all the bristles off because I couldn't pull them out. Once cut off, I can put a little bit of the green cream on a pallete and mix it with some fabulous concealer, my preferred Charlotte Tilbury, and you can mix it to any tone that you need for any redness that you've got. It just is not possible to use alone, let alone with the janky bristles on the end of it. But it can be a supplemental product to other good products that you've already got.

This is the og color corrector, and all the hype it got ten years ago for being cheap and high quality is true. EXTREMELY pigmented blue and th most pigmented white and green you're going to get anywhere. It's a very thick, creamy liquid that doesn't set on its own and is high coverage as far as color correctors go -- I can't speak to the coverage of the skin tone colored concealers, though. I use a little dot of the blue to neutralize the orange in foundations, and white to lighten foundations that are too dark for me now. Since they're a LOT more pigmented than the bigger bottles of foundation color mixers usually are, you only need a little and the formula remains unchanged. Dewy is still dewy. Matte is still matte. Full coverage is still full coverage. Lasts forever.

I love this product. I'm not one who likes Foundation or concealers. I don't believe in putting this under my eyes especially as I age. I bought this because I have red patchy skin and broken blood vessels. It really helps balance the redness and brightens my skin tone. I wish it were a bit more creamy but it's a product that I absolutely love it's a great price. I have warm but light skin. I purchased the green and light yellow. I like both but the green is almost too much correction. Must blend more.

Unfortunately, this product caused a pretty severe allergic reaction for me, especially around my eyes—they became extremely swollen and puffy. I’ve never had a makeup product do this before. I ended up having to deep-clean all of my brushes and throw away anything that had come into contact with it. Definitely won’t be repurchasing.

I'm fair skinned with rosacea so got the green one to cover my redness. This product is thick and highly pigmented. It took me a few tries to get it right without looking like Shrek lol but now I just use the tiniest amount as a spot concealer or mixed in with my tinted sunscreen or liquid foundation. It's affordable and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin- I highly recommend it.
