Worth the money
This seems to fail every 3-4 years. I was afraid I was going to have to replace the fridge because the bottom of the freezer wasn't keeping things frozen. The fridge part was warm. This fan circulates the air, and is located in the freezer. Replacing it is annoying, but doable. Cheaper than replacing the fridge.

Loud noise when after cooling down to freezer temperature
The motor was very quiet after installation when my refrigerator was still warm at room temperature. But it made very loud whining noise at freezer temperature (noise started when temperature below 10F). I thought I got a bad unit so I ordered a replacement. The same thing happened to the replacement unit. I gave up and returned both units.

Works great
Install was super easy. This was a replacement for the motor in my 10yr old Whirlpool side by side model WRS537SIAM00. The symptoms for mine was warm refrigerator and cold freezer. The motor/fan moves cold up from the cooling fins up through an opening between the freezer and refrigerator.

Needed help functioning quietly
Made terrible noises. Lubricated with tiniest spot of white lithium. Doesn't make noise. Sounds like bad bushing clearance. Just glad it spins.
