Review: Very happy! - We had the dome set up for UV and found out after purchasing our starter kit that it wasn’t ideal for our beardie. We ordered this one and it has been good so far. Sometimes it shuts off/flickers and you have to tap it so it will turn back on but it could be the bulb and these kinds of bulbs can be like that. It works for us for what we need. Update Aug/2024: Light continued to flicker more and more and we always had to be moving it around and wiggling the lightbulb to get it back on. Eventually is stopped working all together (purchase March 31/24). Ordered two more lightbulbs to see if it was the bulb and neither of them worked - submitted for return for the bulbs but we are outside of the return window. I will be heading in to a local pet store to see if we can get something set up today for our little guy. Zoo Med makes a pair of mounting brackets. I could only find it on their website. LF-T5B – Mounting Brackets for T5HO Fixtures. **Q: Can this be zip tied to the underside of a screen cover on a terrarium? I would rather the screen not block any of the uvb!** A: I think it could be zip tied, I used velcro to hang them up in my nedosha plastic cages. I get about 3.2 to 3.5 at 12" on my uv meter out of a 5.0 t5 HO reptisun bulb. I also have some of these lights on top of screen reptibreeze cages and get nearly the same readings 3.0 to 3.4 at approximately 12 inches. **Q: Can this fixture sit on top of screen lid? Instead of being placed inside of the habitat!** A: So this fixture is actually intended for just that purpose. Once I got it turns around worked like a charm. I'm using this for a paludarium for white tree frogs and it is the perfect size with plenty of space on each side on the top of the enclosure.
