Review upgraded
These are pricey for the tiny bit of metal + glue that they incorporate, but I liked the concept and bought them anyway, planning to use them on 2 computers and my cell phone. Within a couple of days of placing the one cover on my cell phone, the circular slide piece had fallen off and was lost, though the ones on my computers are still there after 3 days. We'll see how long they stay, but so far, so good; since the computers don't get tossed around like the cell phone, the covers on them should stay intact a lot longer. They do the job they are meant to do and look a lot better and are less obvious than a piece of tape over the lens. The sticky glue did not leave a residue when I removed the cover from my cel phone. EDITED: I am changing my 3 star review to 1 star. The second cover, positioned on my iMac, broke the day after the first one. I was trying to slide the circular piece open, and it literally broke in half.0 UPDATED again: the company (soomz) contacted me by email to follow up on how I liked their product. When I reported the problems I'd had, they sent out a replacement. I am going to upgrade to 3 stars for now (for customer service), and will write another follow-up review in a few weeks. I am very impressed by their responsiveness; here's hoping it was just a bad batch that I received the first time around!

Perfect!!!
I got this pack of 3 and put one on my iPhone's front (selfie) camera, one on my ipad's front/selfie camera and one on my macbook pro's webcam. It is too small for the iPhone's regular camera (the one on the back of the phone), but I'm more concerned about the "selfie" side anyway. My parents accidentally clicked some link on their laptop years ago, and a virus activated their camera and took a bunch of photos of them and then a message popped up asking them to pay some amount of money. Ever since then, I've been covering my webcam with a sticker. But I didn't have a good way to cover my phone's selfie camera, because if I put a sticker on it, I would have to peel it off every time I took a selfie. This soomz cover works great because I can slide it open and shut. It fits well, it's well adhered, it doesn't affect the camera once it's open. I've slid it open and shut quite a few times so far and it hasn't fallen off. Also, I wipe my phone with an alcohol wipe almost daily and it hasn't fallen off during my wipes. It's an awesome product, I can't find anything wrong with it at all. Now I just wish they would make something for the rear iPhone camera please!!

Great for pre-2016 MacBook Pros
I own both a 15" mid-2012 MacBook Pro (Retina), and a new 15" mid-2017 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. These covers work *great* for the mid-2012 MBP. They cover just the camera, but no more. They're super easy to operate, and are totally out of your way when you're not using them. I would definitely recommend these for that model of laptop. On the other hand, these covers don't work well with the my mid-2017 MBP. They're just slightly too thick for the new, thinner design. When you close the screen, the cover keeps it from closing 100%. It closes enough to turn the screen off, so it doesn't inhibit operation of the laptop. However, since this metal object is sandwiched between the glass screen and the touch pad, I worry that if you put normal pressure on the closed laptop, it might damage the screen and/or touch pad.In the Q&A section above, the seller explicitly states that these aren't compatible with newer MacBook Pros, so I'm only taking one star off the review. Still, I wish that information were in the product listing itself.

Taking measures to protect your privacy is vital
With all the stories of people gaining access to your webcam unknowingly, these bad boys gave me a well-needed peace of mind. You ever get that sneaking suspicion that someone may be watching you through your webcam? It sounds crazy and realistically it'll probably never happen. But what's crazier is that there are documented cases of it happening in the past. So why risk it in the first place? To some, this may seem like a paranoid countermeasure. But in all honesty, it's necessary in our day and age. Technology is advancing faster than the laws that regulate it. You have to do what you can to maintain the privacy we have. Newer computers are even coming with a webcam cover built in (I've personally seen this on a few desktop monitors, for example), which shows that manufacturers are realizing the issue too.The best part about these is that you can use your webcam whenever you want by lifting the cover up. It stays in place regardless of position. This product is awesome. My only regret is not buying them earlier, as in years and years ago. Hey, better late than never!

Just one of those essentials that everyone needs.
The media could not be loaded. Great webcam cover. Just make sure you give it a few hours for the adhesive to do its thing when you first apply it to your webcam and you’re good to go. I really like the small form factor because it gives it a stealthier look compared to those large rectangular ones that a lot of other people have. The small circle thing that slides can come off, so try not to fidget with it too much or you might lose it! I’ve never had any instances of it accidentally coming off so that shouldn’t be a problem. I have one on my MacBook Pro and one on my MacBook Air. It fits the Pro nicely. The same thing goes for the Air, but the thickness inhibits the Air from closing completely. A small thing to consider, but for me, it’s not a big deal. It’s a simple little product that does a lot and works as advertised. Highly recommended.

Simple safety
These are ok. They seem kind of expensive for what they do but I couldn't find anything else that would look good on my laptop. They are hard to apply. Mine ended up angled but you can't adjust it too much because the adhesive can't handle it. So far it hasn't fallen off in a month of use.Note: If you have a Dell Inspiron, there are 2 cameras. Even with the thing on, my computer still does facial recognition. I wasn't expecting to have to apply two at once. Just look and see how many cameras your computer has.

Great, handy charger!
Perfect for travelling or to charge devices at work or on the go. Folds neatly and doesn’t take up space while charging multiple devices. Easy to use with charging indicator lights.

Will buy more...
I definitely recommend these. I've used post-it note type things in the past, as well as home made contraptions (metal discs and magnets). These look much nicer and are easy to open/shut when needed.I used one on a Mid 2014 MacBook Pro (and it's thin enough that the lid closes without issue). I used another one on a 5K iMac, and that one, while it works, was a little tough to position correctly. The camera on the iMac is much larger than on a laptop and it seems no matter how I positioned it, you could see a tiny bit of the cover in the camera's view. I.e. there's a tiny amount of a black curved shadow in the corner of the shot. I don't think anyone on a video conference would notice it, but it could be an issue in some cases. Again, it's only on the 5K iMac, you don't see it on the laptop. I've attached a photo taken of a sheet of paper so you can see what I mean about the shadow. It looks worse on the white paper than normal, since the clutter of the room hides most of it.I wasn't able to put one on an old (2011 17" MacBook Pro, yes, the last 17" released). The bezel is too small for the cover to be installed vertically, and the LED and microphone are on each side of the camera preventing a horizontal installation (unless you want to cover the light).I haven't tried these on an iPhone or iPad, I'm way too rough with them and wouldn't expect the covers to survive my day to day usage.I do expect to buy more of these in the future, for some of my other devices, and also as gifts for family.Shipping was fast.
