Great Casings (First Timer)
First time sausage maker here. I made 10 lbs. of bratwurst and used a little less than half of the casings that came in this bag. I followed the part of the instructions that said to rinse and soak. Not so much the part that said don't overfill. I had a few blowouts and I think I can blame all of them on overfilling. These casings held up well to cooking. They didn't add to the flavor, which I don't think they should. They even had a nice and satisfying snap when eating. The size was exactly what I was expecting from a life of eating commercial sausage. I guess I need to make some other type of sausage since I still have a lot of casings left. Problem is I'm a bit sausaged out right now and I still have a lot in my freezer.
