Tamiya 1/10 Subaru Brat Kit

This was the first RC Car that I wanted when I was about 10. I ended up actually getting a TAmiya Falcon; but the Brat started it all (The Manhattan Project). Legendary Tamiya build instructions. Everything fits the way it’s supposed to. It’s a Frog Chassis .I doubt it’s as fast or durable as the new Traxxass stuff for the same $$ but I’m ok with that!I tried to build it like the box. Still deciding whether or not to add the Black/Gold decalsBtw: the accessories in the back were purchased separately.

Awesome kit with very easy to understand instructions. takes about 6 to 8 hours to assemble the chassis, then extra time for paint. I upgraded to a 540 sport motor that I bough on amazon for $16.00, well worth it. It also came with an ESC which was nice. Really fun little build I would highly recommend it!

Very awesome kit! Easy to put together and it comes with brushless ESC! Also comes with 2 bodies. This kit almost makes buying a used one pointless as I've got less than $220 in mine all together and it's got all new parts. Love this kit and as always it has the quality to go with the name!

Again, why not five? It's a not perfect thing....although is actually is close. These kids today....the prepared tracks, the raked sand bogs to provide them with "real world" comfort.I purchased a Hornet before this car. The reason I purchased this was it (in the 80's) was a frog with less options. My hornet is and always will be my first love. I used the spares from my Hornet to run this superb car. Remember...That was TWENTY YEARS AGO.My Hornet destroyed this car on the street. It was faster, and cornered better.I instantly replaced the 380 (80's) motor with a spare 540 and although the 80's version had no differential, on the dirt WITH the heavy stock body it flowed like foam on the water......flowing.....The Subaru (frog minus improvements) was better at times. The Hornet was better at times.In a straight line watching the suspension float was magic......it destroyed my more cash friendly pals Frog....If you buy a modern car now, it WILL be better.So,,,,Buy a newer car.OR...maybe you should just relax and have some fun.THE tires work evenly EVERYWHERE!!!!

Great kit comes with two body's and also extra gears.only thing that defiantly needs upgrades is bearings and steering. Oil filled shocks are stiff makes for a bouncy ride.

This is by far the biggest piece of junk I’ve gotten from Tamiya The steering is pure trash the tie rod arms aren’t long enough so the tires CANNoT be completely straight Very disappointed tamiya half the price ended up being way better..The instructions are god awful .most tamiya instructions are bad but good god these instruction couldn’t be worse if they tried.

滝博士がなぜ北米輸出限定の、日本人に殆ど知られていないこの車種をしかも同じシャーシの本命マイティフロッグより前に投入したのかタミヤ社内の企画会議でよくOKが出たなぁ色々と謎の多いアイテム選択感が…1983年発売のキットに走行性能云々を語るのは野暮というもの当時は子供や初心者がまともに完成させられるかも怪しい不親切ですぐ壊れる欠陥製品が平気で世に出回っていた時代だったのですネットで実車の細部とキット付属のプラボディを見比べると色々制約がある中で、できるだけリアルに再現しようというタミヤイズムが伝わって来ますメーカーとしてできることはやった、後はユーザーの塗装のスキル次第腕に覚えのあるやつ、かかってこいやーって感じです（落ち着いてしっかりマスキングしながら一つずつ塗装手順を進めていけば問題ありません）やっぱり小さくてもドライバーフィギュアが付いたキットはいいなぁプラスαのオマケ感が嬉しいのですタミヤさんフロントガラスまでスモークがかかったクリアパーツはDQN仕様ということで車検は通りません

ボディが2つ付いてくるんですね。プラボディはCC01に載せて、本体はポリカボディで遊んでます。あんまり強いモーターではまともに走りませんが昔、あこがれてた車はやはり格別です。あと、走らせてたらオッサンホイホイみたいに自分より何歳か年上の方によく声をかけられます。お陰で新しい知り合いが出来ました🎵ラジコンってええですね。値段以上の値打ちがあります🎵
