This is my 5th meat grinder. I tried manual machines and not easy to use. tried electrical machines from the Kitchen-aid which attaches to the mixer to the stand alone grinders. They work, but they are slow and They tend to jam. I built a grinding station with a #32 manual meat grinder and a 1/2 HP motor to drive the wheel on the grinder. Now that was very good and fast and it served me great. With this said, it was very heavy, not easy to clean, parts came with the grinder will rust, had to be dried and coated with oil. I replaced the parts I could with stainless steel parts plus had to do some modifications to make things fit well. At the end I spent more than $350 for a complicated Machine to use and store. This Barton machine does the work very efficiently. Easy to clean. easy to store. Quiet. All stainless steel. No tools needed to take it apart. Very powerful. No jamming. It is awesome. I would buy it again but I don't think I would need to. I highly recommend it to all my friends and family. Excellent machine!

This is a great grinder at an uneatable price! It's truly 1 HP and pumps through meat at lightening speed. It's big, heavy and powerful. And that's exactly what a real meat grinder should be. I processed an elk this past fall and it handled it with ease. I grew up on a family farm with a three HP butchers meat grinder (a real cherry of a machine) and have processed hundreds of animals. This grinder is very much reminiscent of the one I grew up using. It's far superior to those grinders I've come across friends using over the years. Unless there is some fatal flaw with the motor, which I can't imagine there would be, I expect this grinder to last a lifetime. The only thing that could be improved is that the bolts that attach the auger tube to the body of the grinder don't thread great.I actually cross threaded one of the six bolts. The other problem is that they are difficult to take out due to them being bold. however they should be easily replaced with screws from a local hardware store. And even if I cross thread all of the screws (very unlikely) and had to take it to a machine shop to have it fixed it would still be a steal at the price on here. The bottom line is that a meat grinder comparable to this will cost you $400 to $1000 elsewhere.

To clean it you need an Allen wrench, also known as a hex key to clean the back and of the connection to the grinder and the grinder engine, which is not provided But you can get at your local tool store.

Like one of the other reviews said, this thing is a pain to take apart and clean. Having to take off six bolts is a pain. Especially for the first time. My small socket set did not fit around the bolt because of the placement on the machine. There was one other problem I found after taking it apart to clean it for the first time. The machining inside the tube was rough and had metal peeling attached inside the tube. When I got it all cleaned up and ready to go, it cut through the rabbit meat with bones like butter. I hand tightened the bolts so they would come off easier after use. The bones were reduced to a fine grit after running it through twice. Once would have been enough but I wanted to see what the machine would do. When buying it I could not find too much information on the size, weight, etc. The machine with heavy duty packaging is marked on the box 48.5 lbs and it is every bit of that. The cutters are marked #22. Everything is nice and shiny what appears to be stainless steel. I hand washed and dried everything after use. I am very happy with my purchase. The vendor had a delivery date between April 19th and 24th. It was at my doorstep on the 19th. That night I was making dog food. Can't wait until hunting season.

got this grinder to process up my yearly game kills. this year I got 2 deer and a huge hog, I double ground both deer and the hog and not a slip or skip or bind. I am impressed with this beauty. its heavy duty and looks, feels like butchers shop quality. cleans up nice and chewed up everything I threw at it. After all the meat I ran thru it the motor was just warm so it could have worked harder. it came in a heavy duty box and was well packed. I did by a foot pedal switch to go with it as I dont think its good to just run them when you reload the tray. I would recommend this to the person looking for a great heavy grinder but not wanting to spend the 500-700 on the others brands. I love it and would buy it again. I got the optional 3 year warranty and if there are issues well I think this year alone it was worth every penny I saved the price and more doing it myself. you won't be disappointed.

Best grinder ever! Goes thru chicken bones with ease. Not much noise. Super easy to clean. Heavy powerful motor. I researched many grinders and Im so glad I chose this one. The packaging is remarkable. Delivery time is fast. I totally recommend.

If you absolutely positively need to grind meat quickly and efficiently then what are you waiting for? I can’t imagine a better choice to complete the job. This tool is a BEAST! Warning: it is heavy and likely capable of removing fingers. Use the included tools for feeding meat into the hopper. It will turn 5 lbs of meat into burger in < 1 minute.

This grinder is very heavy, has a solid motor! it was fast, I couldn't feed it fast enough and not super loud. I an new to grinding and found the machine easy to use and clean. very pleased with the design.

Yo batallé para dar seguimiento a mi pedido ya que se había aceptado y no se había enviado lo cual fue tardado. En cuanto al producto muy satisfecho se ha usado 2 veces sin problemas moliendo carne puerco (1ra 6 kg 2da 10kg en esta última se sintió algo caliente el motor pero nunca se forzó o batalló para moler) se siente robusta pesada y fuerte. Compare molinos de 1hp y era de los más económicos averigüe en You tube y lo vi funcionar. Calculo que me va dar muy buen servicio esta sobrado para mi uso, hago salchichas chorizos 12 kg a la semana
