Choose the mouthpiece that best fits you2. Turn the Inhale (on the left) and Exhale (on the right) knobs to the desired resistance strength; 1 being the easiest, 6 being the hardest. If it’s your first time using it, we recommend setting the resistance to 1. If you’re visually impaired, the numbers on the knobs are raised lines (1 line is a resistance of 1, 2 lines are a resistance of 2 and so on).3. For the first week, ease into using the device and spend no more than 10 minutes using your Live, Love, Breathe Respiratory Exerciser daily, up to 6 days a week. For the second week, increase this to 2 times daily. It will take up to 4 weeks to start seeing results as the blood flow increases, your Diaphragm and Intercostal Muscles develop, and mucus loosens.4. When finished, remove your mouthpiece and wash the parts of your Lung Exerciser in warm water with soap or vinegar. The mouthpieces can be washed in the dishwasher. Let air dry. We recommend washing your mouthpiece after every use and the body of your Live, Love, Breathe Lung Exerciser everyday.

Leaks air so much it is useless.
Really wanted this to work as I needed it. Unfortunately it is leaking air from around the dial and through the area mouth piece inserts. The mouth pieces you have to hold in place to try and stop the air. And yes I inserted it correctly but the fit is loose. Would not recommend this item to anyone.

Useless
When I took it out of the box for the first time, it was clearly coming apart at the seams, literally. No air resistance produced. Very cheaply made. I went and bought a different brand that worked perfectly.

$40 of lung recovery assistance is worth it.
A friend of mine recommended this breathing device for post covid recovery and I was super skeptical. I’d had Covid a few months back and was still feeling short of breathe and had a hard time believing something so small and simple could do anything to help me. Fast forward a month and I’m not sure if it was the device or not but I definitely feel a lot better. I think the main take away for me is to stay at it. My lungs were hurting when I was taking the deep breathes at first but after a few days I was feeling better. I’ve been doing 20 minutes a day on the 4th resistance and honestly think I’m good to stop using this. Will it work for you? I don’t know but it was worth the 40 bucks for me.

Poorly designed, leaks
The instructions state to determine what resistance you should use, turn it up until a minute of use leaves you short of breath to the extent you can't speak complete sentences. I turned it all the way up to 6 on both sides and it just leaks out of every seam and makes a ton of noise. My breath was not rendered short after 5 minutes on the highest settings. After that, I decided to pop it open and see what's going on inside. First of all, the holes behind the diaphragms don't even come close to lining up with the markings for different resistance settings. Secondly, there is no attempt made whatsoever to direct the air towards the inlet and outlet diaphragms. It escapes where the mouthpiece connects, around the diaphragm housings on both sides, and the entire white part is two halves that are completely separate where air also escapes. I'm a mechanical engineer and I know a product that's not designed well when I see one. All the parts just click together with no seals or glue anywhere. If that's what I wanted, I'd just 3d print it myself and get some gaskets from home depot. This thing is utter garbage and Ed should be ashamed of himself. Do not waste your money. I immediately returned this product after trying to contact Ed about it. I can't stress enough how poorly designed and built this thing is.

Will not help you at all.
This is a cheaply made piece of plastic that has 4 areas that aren’t even glued together so air escapes before it even gets to the resisters. It would be worthless to use.
