Men's Suede Soles, 12-Inch, Up-Brown

I love these! They come in plenty of colors and sizes, so you can easily customize your project to fit the recipient. They are warm and durable and cushion the bottom of your slippers, which makes them much more comfortable on hard floors (which is where you generally want slippers the most). The pre-drilled holes are just the right size for a tapestry needle and yarn up to about a worsted gauge, so it's easy to sew them to your slippers, but they don't look too big and once the stitching is complete you wouldn't even notice the perforations. These soles do a fantastic job protecting the bottoms of hand-crafted slippers from wearing out as quickly, as well as cushioning the foot and adding warmth. Instead of wearing out my hand-made slippers in months, I've been wearing them around the house daily for years.The only drawback I see is that the available sizes are a little too far spaced apart, so the finished item could be quite a bit too long. I solved this problem by making the body of the slipper to fit the sole, then knitting a sock-like slipper liner to the exact shape of the recipient's foot and stitching it inside the main slipper. Voila, super-warm sturdy slippers that feel perfect.

Followed the directions that came with the soles, and it worked very well. The term used by my son, who was the recipient, was that they looked "artisan". The holes for sewing around the edge are small, but I had no trouble using a tapestry needle and fingering yarn. It has only been a few weeks, so not sure yet about how they will wear. Directions say they can be washed - time will tell.

The holes for sewing around are very small, so use a needle gripper to save your fingertips. We are particularly hard on them, using these as an outdoor shoe for a Medieval Festival here in NYC. I bought these to replace a pair made six years ago. For everyday, around the house use, these will last years and years.

Best tea ever if you like mild tea flavor. It's very smooth, and is without bitterness. LOVE this tea!

I bought these soles to replace some others(not this brand) on a pair of slippers I had knit for my husband. It is hard to find LARGE soles for size 13-14 shoes. These are working well

Great fit. My son loved the slippers and with these soles, they are not only comfortable but will last longer than the last pair.
