Relatively Healthy Recipes with Ingredients from a Single Store
I just downloaded this book and have not yet tried any of the recipes, but I am impressed with what I have seen so far. Some recipes that I am eager to try include: My Big Fat Greek Quiche (love the name) and Ginger Coconut Soup with Greens. The book caters to those who want more-or-less home-made, more-or-less healthy meals with relatively little hands-on time. The authors use ingredients available at Trader Joe's. Normally, I would not be overly fond of a book that I would consider to be a thinly-veiled store advertisement, but I will make an exception with this series because TJ's is a store without compare, because they have many foods that are simply not available in other stores, and because these ingredients permit one to make gourmet-style foods quickly and easily. The book is well organized, and I like that it has a picture for every recipe. (I do wish, however, that all of the pictures were of the finished dishes; the picture that went with the coconut soup recipe was not of the soup itself, but just of coconuts.)I have deducted one point because the book's copy and the fore-matter of the book itself refer to the recipes as healthy; I would not count a recipe such as the aforementioned quiche (which has 24 grams of fat, 14 grams of which are saturated, according to the nutrition information provided with the recipe) as healthy. Rather, they would be occasional indulgences.

This has turned out to be one of my favorite recipe books
We do 90% of our grocery shopping at Trader Joe's. So, when I came across this book I was interested to try it. This has turned out to be one of my favorite recipe books. I love that every recipe we have tried (and we've tried nearly all of them) has been easy, delicious, and healthy. We have two other recipe books by Deana Gunn and Wona Miniati and love them as well. (I also bought their Lunchbox Jokes this past summer for my 7 year old son. They were super cute and he really enjoyed them.) I have also given this cookbook as gifts since I'm such a fan. I really like that the book has pictures for each recipe, the prep time, nutrition information, and also vegetation & gluten free substitution suggestions.

Excellent cookbook easy to navigate
I was able to scoop this cookbook up on my kindle for free but it is worth a reasonable price. Bright pictures on the kindle version, easy navigation and concise recipes. They have many that are vegetarian options. The book uses most ingrained found at Trader Joe's, a favorite grocery store for many shoppers. I highly recommend this cookbook as an addition to the most basic kitchen.

Useful cookbook
I should, but seldom do, write reviews on books. But this cookbook has so much inside that is useful for the novice or even experienced cook that I wanted to add a review and recommendation.

A cookbook that I actually use
Some women can't stop buying shoes - for me it is cookbooks. My cookbooks take close to 10 feet of space on my bookshelves. But there are only a few that I actually use.I borrowed all 5 Trader Joe's cookbooks that my library has, to compare them. I liked this one the most, prepared four recipes from it and I ordered it from Amazon even before I had to return it to the library. Three out of the four are a keeper in my family.

Not As Good As I Hoped. But OK
This is OK, not as useful as I had hoped, but still gives you some ideas.

Love, love, love this book!
I absolutely love this cookbook. The recipes are so easy and take such little time to prepare. However, it's not like a lot of cookbooks like that where your cart is filled with a bunch of junk with preservatives. It's basically whole food, sometimes onions prechopped or precooked lentils, to save time on prep. It also has some really good tips that have improved my cooking techniques. I'm currently not eating meat and still find many recipes where they suggest substitutes or they are already vegetarian. This book is great if you love TJ's, I highly recommend it.

Great for "normal" dinners
I really love this cookbook! I am not a fancy chef and I don't like having to buy tons of fancy ingredients that I use 1/4 tsp and then have sitting on my shelf for years because I never use them again. This cookbook is awesome because it uses everyday items and the food is delicious but not super fancy or pretentious, which I love. I've only made about 6 meals so far but each one was a big hit with me and my family and I'm really looking forward to making more.
