Old Town Contour Carry Handles, Pair

Great value. Better than the ones that come with kayaks.
Easy to attach (with the knott inside the 2 pieces of the handle). I had hoped the handle would be a higher quality rubber grip (less hard plastic) but it is very decent for the price.

Great handle
Perfect fit for replacing my broken handles on a pelican kayak. Plus, they are much more confortable with a rubber grip.

Makes lugging a kayak around easier.
These are much nicer than the rigid ones that came on my Vapor 10 angler. Okay, some reviewers pointed out that there are no instructions, that's true but they are very easy to figure out if you have some basic mechanical abilities. Also, some reviewers said that there isn't enough room inside to fit the two knots but I found that not to be the case, as long as you put the knots in the right spot in the handle before clamping them shut.I'm really pleased with these.Looking at the pictures, the red circle is one of the knots (simple overhand knot will do) that you tie at the end of the paracord. Loop the paracord through the dark gray base and then through whatever mounting point you’re using on your kayak and then back through the bottom of the dark gray piece. The blue circle is the other end of the paracord untied, it will be tied in a knot just like the red circle after it is run through the mounting point on your kayak and through the bottom of the dark gray piece..Now you will want to place the two knots towards the white circles in the picture. This coincides with the yellow squares in the picture on the light gray piece and that is where the room for the knots is. Avoid placing the knots in the way of the piece in the green circle, this will prevent the two pieces from clamping together. At this point you are ready to squeeze the two pieces together (the dark gray piece and the light gray piece). The two red arrows point to the tabs that go through the holes in the dark gray piece and clip in when squeezed tight enough….done.Two last things, burn the ends of the paracord with a lighter, it’ll keep it from fraying and if you burn it into a little mushroom shape, it’ll help prevent the knot from ever coming undone and after you tie the overhand knots, pull on them very tight so that there is no looseness left in the knot.

the product is great and it works just like the previous handle I ...
Let me start by saying I never leave comments or rate the items I buy. I want to do it this time since it frustrates me how people complain about this product. I am giving it 5 stars, the product is great and it works just like the previous handle I had. some of the comments left by other people were: no instructions, cord too thick and item not fully assembled. This sounds to me like unnecessary complains! If you want something already assembled, you will have a hard time installing it. There is no need for instructions when you have a string and two pieces that fit into each other to make one. Lastly if you complain about the cord being too thick, well that is just nonsense to me. If you want something strong to carry Kayak, you need something strong that will last not something weak that will break after using it twice or maybe once. I am extremely satisfied with the product. I do recommend it, for the price is grateful and it feels very well built.
