MedCenter 31-Day Extra Large Monthly Pill Organizer 4 Times Daily

I have used these for years. I C originally got them from a medical conference in Las Vegas in early 2000. These are perfect for the amount of pills I take with the larger daily containers, they hold up very well, easy to keep track of the time, when and how much. This is my 3rd one. The containers are where they break down. But it takes a lot & very sturdy.

Using numbered boxes with 4 individual sections makes daily pill taking easily visible and convenient. Traveling, take the number of days rather than lots of bottles or 7 day containers. Ends are colored, so that showing green means OK to use, red means pills have been taken. The lids are tight, requiring a hard push on the left side corner to open. Good to prevent accidental opening but may be difficult for persons with weakness in fingers. A good idea and well executed.

If you're in the market for a monthly medicine organizer, this might be the best option for you! I’ve used the standard size tiered med- center system for several years. I lost one unit a few months ago. I’m very sad that I was unable to buy some replacement units (even if unnumbered). So I purchased the XL set The units fit perfectly into the tiered base, but being longer than the standard units, they obviously stand taller. No problem with that at all. Having cells wider by about 1/4” there is room for my supplement pills now, too. No more big pills getting stuck. I will have to figure out a way to repurpose the new flat base. And I can revert to my standard units when I travel, so I don’t lose one any more. These XL units do not come with a timer like the standard kits. I have no use for the timer, personally, as I have a totally customizable alarm feature on my phone, which is always in my pocket or purse. Great product!!!

It is almost impossible to open the things in fact by the time I got him open my entire thumb was cut from the plastic on there not a very good product

There are 4 spots for each day. The space in each gives ample storage for multiple pills. We like Quality so well we bought a second one so we both have one. They are clearly labeled and Daily used

So the first thing is I do think that this is a bit expensive, but with that said these are the qualities that I love: *It's easy to grab daily meds on the go and stick in my bag. *I also like that it has 4 compartments per day, this is important because not all meds can be taken together because of possible interactions or certain meds are taken multiple times per day *I like how I can see from a glance that my pill organizer will have to be filled soon because of the red vs green labeling and this allows me to plan ahead. I've had this kind of pill organizer from this same company in the regular size and yes after a couple of years the numbers do fade and wear off, but I have experienced this with other planners as well. The larger compartments allow for larger pills like multi vitamins, fish oil... If you take a lot of pills and they aren't all small the larger pill organizer would be a better choice so you aren't trying to make them all fit via stacking pills in each compartment. Some of the compartments are a little difficult to open, but after a while it gets a little looser with use and works well. I usually start looking to possibly replace this same organizer after about 5-6 years because of faded paint or a few compartments are a little loose when I snap them closed. I've tried all sorts of organizers. This one is the best one yet. Easy to open, yet they stay closed when you need them to. You can tell at a glance from across the room if you need to refill them for another month. Haven't missed a day on anything with these.

Good idea in theory, but doesn't work well in real life. The first thing I noticed, straight out of the box was that they individual containers are very tippy and will likely fall over at a slight bump. I thought it might still be OK, but the next thing I noticed was the the containers aren't in any order that makes sense. It would be fine for someone who is young, not retired and knows that date each day, but having container that are only labeled with a number can be confusing to someone who is elderly and may not be keeping track of what the date is each day. The color coded ends should help with that, but having them in a 7 day order would be better than 4 rows of 8. The nail in the coffin though, was when I pulled out a pill container to fill it for my husband and struggled and struggled to open it. I tried another container with the same problem, so I tried several. I was able to get a few open with great difficulty and actual pain to my fingers. There's no was I would want to fill up a months worth of these at a time, with how difficult and painful it is to open just one. I have normal hand and finger strength (I'm am occupational therapist, so I know what that means). I then handed one to my disabled husband to see if he'd be able to get one of the containers open without having the pills inside go flying all over. He wasn't able to get even one of them open and he tried several. There's no way he could even attempt to use this. If you have really strong fingers this might be helpful for you, but I would definitely NOT recommend this for anyone who has any amount of decreased finger or hand strength or anyone who would have to know the date before taking the pills.
