Since my son joined JROTC, he has taken an interest in his physical fitness. We always encourage new interests, but as any parent can tell you such interests can be fleeting. As such, the key to frugal parenting is finding relatively inexpensive and unobtrusive ways to encourage blooming interests, and this product is perfect. He assembled it himself from it's packaging in just a few minutes; we had it hanging above his doorway in just a few seconds more. While he currently only weighs around 130 lbs., it feels rock solid, which suggests to me it could easily handle more. The material is just heavy-duty enough to get the job done, while being lightweight enough to easily remove and store in a closet when necessary. My son has taken to doing three quick pull-ups each time he passes his door, which means in the months since he's had it, this chin up bar has already seen hundreds of uses. After such use, it looks and feels brand new. We can't speak to it's being good for a heavier or bigger person, but for a trim young man it is perfect. I normally use terms like "for the money", but in this case I can't imagine anything working any better at any price. Solid product.

Received it within a few days of ordering. Pulled it out of the box and got it all set up within half an hour. Pretty simple instructions. I bought this to help me improves my pull up numbers for the Marine Corps PFT, so far I've noticed some improvements, and I haven't even had it for very long. The only pick I have on this product is having to put a the safety clip into the door frame. I was fairly nervous about that but I think we've all seen the videos of people falling from the bar, so its safe to say that it's necessary. I would definitely recommend a pull up bar, and this one gets the job done at a very reasonable price. Easy to set up and even take down when not in use. I have it in a spot where I am always walking past it, and I rep out pull ups nearly a half dozen times a day. Good little workout right at home.

It gets the job done for $20, seemingly decent materials used to make it and super easy to assemble even without instructions. I bought it just to setup & do the occasional pull up and have no complaints, although I gave 4 stars because it didn't come with instructions, which may be an issue for a very small portion of people.

Such a simple design it's hard to believe it works!! Put it together in about 10 minutes. It came with all the nuts & bolts and even a small wrench. I hung it up over the laundry room door and it stays put without any problems. It does come with a safety clip but I haven't had a need for it. It's very light in weight but has no problem holding my weight of 160lbs. I definitely would recommend this item for simple chin up/pull ups. If you don't work out often, like me, the first time you use it will be a humbling experience but stick with it and within a week you'll be able to do several more chin ups....Also taking it off the door and laying it on the ground you might be able to do reverse dips, haven't tried it though.

Overall very solid. However, be careful when placing the bolts in the plastic hanger piece. When I turned the locking nut, it stripped out the square hole where the bolt is supposed to sit, making it hard to tighten the locking nut all the way as the bolts do not have a head. Edit: Gripping the bolt head with needle nose pliers while using an impact wrench allowed me to fully tighten the bolt and lock nut

The seller states that it fits all standard doorways. I have 5 potential doorways in my old Boston house with a 2016 gut renovation in some rooms. It fits neither the old nor new doorways. The top plastic piece is supposed to sit on top of the casing to prevent it from slipping down (held in place with a janky little metal clip you jam between the casing and the wall). But the plastic piece can't reach the top of the door trim, so this is unusable. And because I didn't pick up on the fact that it isn't sold by Amazon or click through the 30 day return to see if they offer the standard Prime free returns, I didn't know that I couldn't do the usual easy Whole Foods dropoff for free. Instead I have to PAY to ship this piece of hot garbage back, and make a special trip to the UPS Store (no easy drop off locations near me) to do it. The return shipping fee is 36% of the overall price of the item! By the way, that stupid little clip damaged the paint above my door in a way that I'll never be able to not see. Biggest disappointment I've had in years on Amazon, not because of the poor quality (I'm used to that), but the hassle of returning it. Save yourself the hassle and buy something else.

Starting to do pull-ups, I found this bar which is easy to assemble and pretty sturdy for my 190 pounds. The cushions on the side are good for door trim protection. The support bar that holds it in place is not that solid and I fear if it might break at some point. But I think for a low price, its a good value for money.

I only gave it 4 stars on easy to assemble because it was a bit difficult to get the bults to go in and fit correctly. Other than that minor set back it is amazing! It's really sturdy and supper easy to use. I chose this one because it was the cheaper option and im honestly really glad because I didn't waiste extra money on a diffrent product when this one is amazing and is multi purposeful!

It's a great product. I saw many reviews of bar not fitting properly in north American houses. I live in BC, Canada and it fits perfectly. Just measure your door frame properly. It really depends on your door frame. Mine was not even 2 cm thick😅 but it still works well. Worth the money

Don't. Just don't. Absolute 💩 item.

Works great but requires assembly and some low-quality hardware could have been good quality for a couple of dollars more. Otherwise is good and handy.

Didn't sit flat on top of door, Was lopsided on handles.

This product was easy to use and set up. The only thing I recommend is that you do know what your door frame with is.
