We’ve had this on our basketball goal for a few week and have had a few windy days (gusts up to 25mph) and have had no problems. It was easy to strap to the base and we filled it with 6 bags of sand (50lb bags). We just left the sand in the original bags and put them in the canvas bag. No problems. Looks good. Would recommend.**Our base had a hole in it and it wouldn’t hold water. This seemed like the best alternative.

I purchased two of these and have them holding 8 50lb bags of sand. Although that sounds like a lot, the profile remains low and blends in. I have had it holding my 54 in basketball hoop for over a year. I live in a very windy area and have been through quite a few severe thunderstorms/high wind events including a tornado. The hoop still stands and the bags still look good. They are holding up quite well despite being exposed to the elements including all day sun. I am satisfied with this product. I suggest leaving the sand in the plastic bags they come in and just sticking them inside this bag. Works great for me.
