This stuff is great
A little more expensive than other options but worth it to get this heavy duty, extra sticky option that was easy to install.

Great Rail Tape
This rail tape so far (after a couple of months) is excellent. I got the longest and widest version for my 14 foot BIC Tracer board. I did end up cutting off approximately 12 inches on each side to avoid having the graphic with the RSPro name stuck prominently on each side of my board because the graphic is contained permanently on each piece of rail tape. I started on one end and peeled back the paper backing as I went, first sticking down the tape in the middle and then after sticking down a few inches, pressing up and down to stick down the sides. This stuff is super sticky. I worked hard to rub out any little air bubbles as I went but a few did remain. After a couple of weeks, however, they were no longer visible. It is actually a fair amount of work to get to this tape installed. Once it is stuck down, I don't think it can be removed without risking damage to the finish on your board since it is so sticky, so just work slowly and carefully. In the end, however, this tape seems like it will be indestructible and I think will do an amazing job protecting the rails on my expensive new board. The tape is textured and it almost makes me smile every time I feel my paddle glancing off the tape instead of damaging my board. So despite the dumb large RSPro graphic, I gave this tape five stars. If I could give it more I would. It is expensive and some work to install well, but so worth it. I have only had it installed for a couple of months so I cannot speak to how it will hold up long-term.

Really protects the board
I just got a new SUP and this is the first thing I'm putting on. It. Learned my lesson with my old board. I got the widest and longest, protects the sides from your paddle and if you set the board on its side. Very durable. A 2 person job to install.

Works like a charm.
The rail saver works exactly as expected. It helps to have two people install it as it is easy to position it with two instead of one.The biggest trick is to have a couple of drops of dishwasher soap in a spray bottle to apple to the board BEFORE attempting to center the rail saver. I also used a small squeegee to work out any bubbles.I have had it on my board for 3 years. No problems and I use my board 3-4 times a week, all year round.

this crap cosmetically ruined my board
Very frustrating to install. When I tried to adjust the tape positioning on my board, it literally ripped the clear coat off my board and chipped the paint. It looked awful on my brand new board, buyer beware.

Have it professionally applied or don’t get it.
Very hard to apply because it’s so thick.Took two guys at the surf shop to get it on my SUP.One guy does them all the time and said this material is one of the hardest to install because it doesn’t stretch at all to form easily.Dont try this on your own,it’s really sticky, and I watched the RSPro video on how to apply.......didn’t help.
