I have had this scanner for about 6 months. it is fast and easy to use. The best feature and why I brought it was for the duplex scanning which is very fast. I have used the scanner feature of ink jet copy and scanners for long time and after various issues I decided to get a standalone. the first one (different vendor) didn't work so I was suspect on another one. Nevertheless I got this one. in addition to the scanning abilities, the footprint is small and doesn't take up a large space. About a month ago my computer stopped working during a scan. after several attempts to restart and had to call the service desk for help. The operator was very very patient and worked to get me started again. Therefore the product as well as the service is outstanding.

Amazing scanner! It works out of the box, download a software and ready to go. I had about 40 booklets (about 30 pages each front and back) that I needed to digitize. I took them apart, set them in the scanner and it took half a minute to scan the whole book, page by page in order, both front and back at the same time. It was the coolest thing I’ve seen. Got the whole project done before lunch, it is amazing technology!!!

This has by far been the best scanner I’ve ever used. Working in accounting, I have to scan documents in various sizes (ranging from fast station receipts to legal-sized contracts), and this scanner can handle it all. The front manual feeder is perfect for those longer receipts or cards, and the automatic top feeder is great for stacks of papers. The scan quality is crisp and clear like if you had typed the document yourself and exported it to a PDF. The ScanSnap software saves me so much time by auto-naming files based on the information scanned (perfect for receipts to differentiate card numbers!). This file naming system is clever and accurate in the data pulled. The only time I have to manually adjust the name of a file is if a pre-selected field doesn’t exist on the document scanned (e.g., including the last 4 digits of the card used in the file name, but a receipt not having that info). I hate cords, so this scanner having wireless connectivity is perfect for my needs. Once it’s connected, it stays connected and there is no delay in the transfer from the scanner to my computer. The value for your money couldn’t be better. I would argue that this smaller scanner is even better than the more expensive version just given the manual front feeder, let alone the price of this unit. I’ve seen some other reviews about this scanner not working or only connecting to a single computer at a time and can confirm it is user error; I share this scanner with a colleague and we can both use it with ease throughout the day. You can’t go wrong with this scanner!!!

I purchased this product for the insurance side of our medical practice. They scan a lot of documents throughout the day, all day, every day. Their old scanner just died out after many years so we opted to replace with this one. For ease of writing and reading, I will just list some pros and cons here. Pros: - The scanner is small. Not too small to scan things normally but very compact, which is ideal for their very busy workspace. - It scans quite well. Once we jumped some hurdles in set up (will dive into below), the scanner has been great! It scans very quickly, the image quality is always great, and the software is relatively easy to use (ONCE IT IS SET UP PROPERLY) - It is quiet, quick, and to me, fun to watch! The scanner sends your paper on a gymnast course which can just be fun for me to watch! (video included) Cons: - The set up was a bit of a headache. Part of that is on our end with our computers. The other part of that is the lack of instructions to troubleshoot during set up. I ended up on the phone with their support as well as our IT trying to get it set up. It took 4 days of phone calls to get that working. I don't feel as though it should be *that* difficult to connect a scanner and get it working. - A week or two after we got it all set up, it stopped scanning. It would only accept manual feed, which is not a great option for our busy medical practice. Again, multiple days on the phone with support and IT. Turns out, the sensor needed cleaned. Again, not a big deal, I just don't feel like it should take days to troubleshoot and fix something so simple. - Only one user can scan at once. Now this doesn't seem like a problem but if someone else pulls up the ScanSnap software, the other person is then booted out of being able to scan. It's not a big problem, more of a nuisance than anything else. All in all, it gets the job done. If you are a pro at set up, know scanners in and out, or are just a patient person - you will have no problems with this. Like I said, this could be mostly attributed to our computers and others may not have had these issues! Once all is working well, it is a great scanner!

This is a wonderful small but powerful scanner that substantially speeds up the scanning process. Its sheet feeder rapidly processes documents and scans both sides of the paper in one pass. It automatically will detect text and rotate the pages so that they are right side up and even do optical character recognition on them to make searchable PDFs. You can quickly scan photographs with the single sheet slot at the front bottom. So much faster than using a flatbed scanner or even a multifunction printer/scanner with document feeder. This unit is so much faster.

An excellent scanner of its type. Mine replaced a similar model no longer supported. It scans both documents and photos with 2 ways to feed your items. My only criticism is the on-screen control panel which seems to be somewhat hard to navigate.

Setup was easy. I have a windows desktop. I did USB connection. Downloaded the software after googling it. I just went through 300 pages in no time. This was amazing to see how it took on so many pages in little effort. I also didn't have to tell it that the papers were double sided, it just knew. I haven't tried any other scanner but as a first time experience, this was perfect.
