Coghlan's Dynamo Flashlight - Rechargeable Handheld LED Light for Emergency, Camping, and Survival - Compact and Lightweight Crank Flashlight for Reliable Portable Illumination

Just received this incredibly tiny, lightweight flashlight and I already love it. For a ready source of outdoor light, without the need for batteries, this itty bitty product is more capable than I imagined something this small to be. The crank is smooth and easy to operate, and the light produced is impressively bright for a source so compact. The clip at the end of the flashlight attaches easily to the gear rings on my 40l pack's shoulder straps, making it simple to use while backpacking. The sheer weightlessness is also fantastic when packing minimal and lightweight. I hope the product performance holds out over time and use, and I aim to update the review in a few months.

Wish I could give this 6 stars. I just needed something very small that had basic functionality. To my pleasant surprise this thing can light up a whole room! Great for survival kits or in any situation where you don’t have much room!

This flashlight works, but it is really a small toy. It winds easily, But only produces a tiny amount of light for a short length of time. I bought it to see what it could do in comparison to larger hand, crank flashlights. It is small, light weight and easy to carry, but it wouldn’t do you much good in an emergency.

I am backpacking this summer and this little light is the perfect companion for lighting up my one man tent at night and serving as a backup light in my pack for emergencies. It is tiny, but bright, and lasts long enough to enjoy some relaxing time in my tent before I fall to sleep. With the wind up battery, I never have to worry about turning it off, but can drift off to sleep with it still burning. Just a few seconds of winding the next evening, and it is ready to function once again. The small clip allows me to attach it to the top of the tent where the light can spread out to illumine the entire tent. It gives off a surprising amount of light and seems to be sturdy and well built, including the crank handle assembly.

Amazon receives Five Stars again. Placed the order, shortly there after, I received an email indicating when my item will be delivered. My item was delivered in a timely fashion and in perfect condition. I wanted a small flashlight (that I can clip on to my house keys) that did not involve a battery because when you need a flashlight regardless if its been 10 hours, 10 days or 10 months I would like it work. The flashlight is tiny (fits in the palm of your hands). The light that it produces is enough for you to illuminate about 10 feet in front of you. I was happy to be sent the yellow one even though the Amazon site mentioned that they might send the yellow or red. As per the company’s claims, they state to wind fast for one minute to produce a bright light. It did produce a very bright light. After about 20 minutes the light subdued. At 30 minutes I still had light but it was low. I did it again and the very bright light came back. I’m satisfied with this flashlight. Note – this flashlight is a back up to flashlight that I carry in my purse. But I do feel secure that if my first flashlight runs out of batteries I have this one that will not.

I ordered 2 of the Coghlans Dynamo Flashlights on 3/29/14 along with some other items, products arrived on 4/8/14. 10 days delivery, that's OK, I can wait. I love the look and feel of these little flashlights. They feel solid and very cute. They came pre-charged and were very bright. If they stay like that all the time that would be perfect. I got one red and one yellow. I left the yellow one on all night, and to my surprise, even it was deem, the light stayed on all night long. Then I tried to crank to charge it to see if it will return to the original brightness. I am so glad I did because the brightness just would not return, it doesn't even hold the charge. I got a bad one. Now i need to test on the red one too. If this one is also the same, I need a replacement for both of them. Return would be my last choice, but if they won't work, then I have to. Fingers crossed for the red one.

I was expecting lower quality honestly. It is well built bright for it's size and absolute perfect size for every day carry, and being a dynamo is has no need for batteries. I would highly recommend every one carry one of these daily.

I remember when this technology first came out, and these non battery flashlights were huge. Now days everything is getting smaller. You never need batteries, and it fits in your pocket. It is pretty bright too. Beats being stuck without a flashlight. I highly recommend this. Example, I was on a trip and the power went out where I was staying when I had to get up to go to the bathroom and my phone was dead. When I am in a pinch again I will have light. Best bang for the buck.

Je me suis fiée aux commentaires clients de ce petit objet. Résultat, je suis très déçue. En effet, même après avoir chargé la petite lampe après plusieurs minutes, l'éclairage est vraiment très très faible, voire inutile. Passez votre chemin si vous cherchez quelque chose qui éclaire un minimum.

Compacta, ligera, práctica.

Wenn noch ein kleiner Clip dran gewesen wäre, um das Lämpchen zu befestigen (z.B. am Mützenschirm), dann wäre es perfekt. Aber auch so it es eine gute Investition. Klein, ultraleicht und sehr praktisch. Kommt bei mir in der Handtasche mit.

It's very useful below the dash board in car but a bit over priced . It's sturdy . It's Small in size but Bright in Shine ...

This tiny micro light is very small but has impressive brightness which is disbursed wide, there is no beam or directed light. You can easily light up most of a room with this little light, and it is easy to crank it to get power. No batteries needed which is excellent for power failures or long emergencies. I wish it was bigger to fit better in the hand because it is honestly so small you could attach it to your keys. I would buy this product again and although it’s not made of sturdy titanium it is a reliable plastic flashlight
