Winsor & Newton Series 150 Bamboo Short Round #6 Handle Brush

I haven’t had issues with this this brush losing hairs like others claimed. Love it. It holds ALOT of water. As a watercolor artist….trust this holds a lot of water. It does keep its shape also, but because it holds so much water it will bend while wet and when running it across a page, you should be careful how you run the brush bristles if you’re trying to get nice straight flat streak. Great for back ground washes.

Winsor & Newton’s series 965 Wash Brushes are the VERY BEST QUALITY!!! Please keep making them and consider creating more with the sable and synthetic mix. Great price too!

I was very disappointed with this brush. It holds alot of water but the bristles are constantly falling out. I have had other brushes by this company and was happy with them so was expecting same quality. I do not recommend. I want to update my review and increase rating to 4 stars. I started using this brush again and find myself reaching for it more often. I realized that after using it a few times it was no longer losing bristles . It is actually quite nice for large areas and is very soft. Give it a try and just realize that you have to use it a bit to get rid of any loose bristles.

Full disclosure: I'm a fan. Winsor & Newton is arguably the best quality one can get in generally available art supplies (harder to find are Daniel Smith and Schmincker). I have yet to purchase a W&N product that I wasn't thrilled about -- and this was no exception. The balance is exquisite with an organic grip, and the bristles offer natural and balanced water retention. The tip is versatile enough for both responsive and broad gestural strokes. It feels like a natural extension of my hand and "stays out of my head" when I'm in a creative flow. Love it!

After so many artists on YouTube that I follow recommended this particular brush, I was disappointed to find when I tried it that it sheds horribly. So many hairs in the watercolor. Shame.

Amazing brush for calligraphy

Totally misleading! I only received one brush (thinking it was a set like the picture) and the brush is not even like the one in the picture is totally different... and the bristles seem like really bad quality all stuck together with some sort of glue like substance. What a waste of money

Leute, investiert in gute Pinsel. Dieser hier ist ein Gamechanger. Unendlich viel besser als die üblichen, fusselnden Chinapinsel.
