These are awesome poles, strong and easy to assemble
Paris adjustable tarp and tent poles. These are awesome poles, strong and easy to assemble, they are not shock corded together because you add the segments that you need to obtain the height you are looking for. They come two poles to a bag that holds the pieces together so they don't get lost. I was searching for a pole that was multifunctional for a Nemo Brand tarp that is no longer made or available called the Transform Tarp which could be a conventional tarp but could also by means of zippers, be made into an enclosed floor less tent with just a center pole in the middle. These poles solve so many different application problems. Uses for these are only limited to your imagination. You can put the grommet rod end up through a tarps grommets then put your guy out cord over it and then stake it out or if you need support under a canvas or nylon that you don't want to puncture just put the rubber boot up under the tarp and stick the end meant for going into grommets into the ground. Boat canvas covers for storage, etc. very handy.

They are very sturdy and versatile
These poles are worth the extra funds to get them. They are very sturdy and versatile. They can be put together in any number you need, from 2 to whatever is required, within reason of course. We have replaced several other poles, usually from bending in the wind, and found these to be the best yet. They come two to a set and with their own carrying bag. They are well made, sturdy and have a nice rubber "foot" to make placement on uneven ground etc. alittle easier. Over-all these are the poles to get. Well worth the price....you'll lay out this much and more buying replacements for the cheaper models that will continue to bend and break. AND, they are a nice color too.

Great poles, lots of uses. Sold as a set!
These tarp poles are very nice. I will say that I don’t mind there are no cords holding them together because you can customize the height. Which means I can use them for my Kelty Noah tarp at full height or if I want to use them as pole stands for my flap on my rain fly on my tent I can do that too. The aluminum does feel a little raw finished. By this I mean that they’re not coated too much. Because of this they’re a tight slide. I fixed this with wd40 and they’re smooth, I imagine I’ll need to reapply as I keep using them. I love how short they pack down because they’re not corded and I love the larger feet. I’ve seen a bunch of different poles from friends who I camp with and I prefer these to their rei or msr ones. I also liked that these were sold as a pair. My only gripe which isn’t even that big of a deal is there were not instructions so you need to make sure you put the right pieces together. The top and bottom need to have the mutli hole pieces for the foot and top peg to adjust and the mid pieces are the single hole fixed ones. I also band the pole segments in the bag as separate sets, since they don’t have cord. Just to keep them organized and I’m not fiddling around for pieces when I’m setting up in inclement weather. But I think a future model with numbers or color codes would be nice so anyone can set up the first time aight unseen instead of me having to instruct a new camper in my crew. :)

Great Tarp Pole!
These Paria Outdoor Adjustable Tarp and Tent Poles worked out great. When I put up my tent, I put a tarp that is larger than the tent over the tent. I do this help protect the tent from the rain and for shade when the sun is beating down. I only used this once so far, but it seemed to really hold up. I put a 6' x 8' Xpose Safety 12 Mil Polyethylene heavy duty tarp that is supposed to be weatherproof, rip and tear resistant over my tent. I connected the one end of the tarp to a 4' ft fence using sting and bungee cords and the other end was held up with these Paria adjustable poles, staked down with 10" galvanized stakes. The poles were fully extended to the 6' (72") max height. A big storm with high winds and tornado warnings came through. The high wind ripped out a few of the grommets from the tarp on the side that was connected to the fence. One of the poles, the 10" stake was pulled out of the ground. The other pole was still in place. Neither were damaged. I was expecting them to bend but they held up. Next time I plan on using two stake lines on each pole for more support with wind and to really test these things if another storm comes through. That’s what I bought them for. To hold up during extreme conditions. I get stuck in a storm at least once a year during camping season. I have been complimented more than once on how well my camp held up during a storm. These poles are great for my arsenal in battling those storms and keeping things dry and secure. I am going to get a couple more. for next season for the middle. 😊 I wish they carried different sizes. I could use a couple 8 footers.

Good poles, but not small
these are a little bit bulkier than I was expecting, but they work really well. I've been able to set up a tarp as a sun shade when down in the south west, and a rain fly when dealing with some wet weather camping. It'd be a stretch to carry more than one pole if you're backpacking, but a short hike into a site, or for car camping, these are awesome.

Strong, Stylish and Packs Down Nicely
I needed something like this and found a number of different products that could have worked and choose this one for a number of reasons. Versatility of product was first, with its different configurations and then strength followed. 7000 aluminum is what my tent poles are made from but don't be confused by thinking this is a tent pole which is made to come together fast by being shock-corded and have more flexibility so it can bend, which these don't. This aluminum is stiff and rigid and when assembled is very strong. The assembling is very easy and the simple PDF they send is really not needed, silver sections on the ends is the most important thing to remember. The poles diameter seems just right, a nice balance between strength and weight. The rubber feet are a plus and the color is nice flat finish to reduce glare. The construction feels solid and with proper use they should last quite awhile. These come in a pair and include a storage bag. I found other products that only provided one full pole at a higher price, what were they thinking by doing this escapes me. Maybe they thought we would use it to fish or something. I will be using these to support a canopy or make a quick A-Frame shelter when necessary. I am still trying to use a middle section as a flute, maybe with time and a tweak of some sort I will have a musical instrument as well. I am pleased with this purchase and may buy another set as well.

Not stout enough
I returned these because they were too thin and short. Ianted something robust for large group shelters, and these are inadequate for that specific purpose. They are more of a lightweight pole for a pup tent or small tarp, which I use trekking poles for.

Be careful for manufacturing defects!
Product design was main reason I purchased this for an upcoming camping trip. Tested assembly and glad I did because one of the female ends had some type of overspray (I assume from the outer coating) that narrowed the diameter of the receiver for one pole. Contemplated returning, but decided to get my dremel out for a quick fix. Whatever it was (epoxy like hardness) was easily removed with my dremel and grinder bit. Overall, not happy with the quality assurance as the poles are clearly not checked for manufacturing defects. The male end would never fit. See pictures for before shots of the defect. Definitely test these before intended use because it was an easy fix in my garage with my tools, but would have been unusable in the field had I not tested.
