Halo Wars Original Game Soundtrack

Ok, i first thought it might not be as good as the others. I was wrong, it is really good, but it is diffrent. I felt it had less peek heroism moments, but at the same time better music in general. The other Halo OSTs are really good, but at some point they get repetitive or shallow...hard to explain, but if youve heard them, youll know. This one doesnt have that much of that. I dont think they got the Original signature that Marty produced, wich I love, but they've achived to enter the halo Universe with something really good and a bit diffrent.I do recommend the product if you like the other ost, it completes the Halo ost series, even if you dont like Halo Wars (i finished the game and never played it again, not a fan of strategy games).

I have all the halo soundtracks and love listening to all of them.I just wanted to say even though this is not the soundtrack composer that did the other halo soundtracks that this soundtrack is just as good.So far I have listened to this entire album and like all the tracks on this cd.If you have the other halo soundtracks add this one to the collection.

i love soundtracks from movies and games. halo is my favorite video game and i just had to have the soundtrack from it. im so glad i bought it. it was from amazon prime, for to me in 2 days, and was affordable. all and all, im a happy customer.

This soundtrack is very good, very easy on the ears, and definitely brings a new musical feeling to the Halo universe. That being said, it's not composed by Martin O'Donnell, and while Stephen Rippy did a pretty good job, it's my gut feeling that O'Donnell could have done better. Spirit of Fire is definitely an emotional piece that conveys the desperation of the Human-Covenant war very well, and while the rest of the music is good, none of the rest of the music has quite the powerful punch that this piece has.

all the soundtracks are amazing whether you're a fan of halo, not a fan, or just like music. definitely worth snag especially as a collector

I have most of the other Halo soundtracks which are an important part of my soundtrack collection. I was looking forward to this one because the music in the game is so appealing. I have to admit, though that this soundtrack is a little disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the music is good, and very close to the game but it just doesn't bring the game to life like it should and the other soundtracks do. I don't know whether the themes are too underplayed or that there seems to be too much 'quiet time' but it didn't draw me in like I was expecting. I'm glad a bought it but it's not on my favourites list.

All the kids love halo, and they even like to listen to the softer pieces overnight while they are sleeping.

I really love this CD. It has all the great music by Stephen Rippy, who did a Great Job in Marty's Absence.

I own every other Halo soundtrack but forgot that Halo Wars had one too. So I bought it immediately and my expectations where high because all other soundtracks are so good. After a quick and good service (like I'm used to with Amazon, but this time it was really quick because it left a Amazon depot not far from I live, it didn't came from England) I was captured by the music once again. They all sound very familiar and if you played Halo Wars enough you can say which song is from which mission. I have to say the songs are pretty short and the overall play time is short if compared to the others but its quality is like all others.If you love Halo music you must get this one too. You may say they sound a bit different than traditional Halo songs but so did the ODST soundtrack. Love it.

Steven Ripley created some fine pieces of music for Halo Wars. Infact, the best thing about the game was Steven Ripley's music.What really disappointed me is that the most epic, the most powerful and the most emotional pieces of the soundtrack were put onto a bonus DVD. I found it extremely inconvenient to have to use my TV to play it's music since my computer doesn't have a program that supports it. Perhaps it was to combat piracy or digital theft, but if you ask me, more people, including myself would turn to methods considered unlawful if they cannot fairly and easily access such wonderful material.For this fact, I rate the product itself 4/5.As for the music itself, it's doesn't match the outstanding works of Marty O'Donnell, but it comes awfully close.

Perfect condition and still plastic wrapped. Amazing music from one of my favourite Halo games that I can now listen to on the go 5/5

Der OST wurde von Stephen Rippy komponiert und weist andere Merkmale auf. Es finden sich viele gute Ansätze, doch nur wenige werden voll ausgeschöpft. Oft wird eine gute Idee zu rasch durch einen spontanen Gedankengang ersetzt (We are burning Sunshine, 5 long Years). Und die wenigen kraftvollen Songs sind zu kurzatmig.Es sind ohnehin viel mehr Hintergrunduntermalungen. Halo Wars braucht als Strategiespiel keine grandiosen Megahits. Extrahiert man die relevantesten Titel gelangt auf zirka 20 Minuten Spielzeit. Es ist nun mal Musik, die nur mit Bildern funktioniert. Anbei ist eine DVD (Trailer, Studioaufnahmen, Bonus Songs). Laufzeit: 70 Min. bei 34 Songs (inkl. Bonussongs).

On replonge avec plaisir dans l'univers halo, du moins quand on est fan.Toutes les musiques qui sont présentes dans le jeu se trouve dans le premier Cd. De quoi faire durer l'esprit halo une fois de plus.Ensuite le DVD qui présente un contenu intèressant avec 5 titres inédits, 3 vidéos(première vidéo du jeu en anglais, trailer du jeu et une vidéo qui s'intitule "3 villes" que je vous laisse découvrir) et encore 5 titres en "surround mixes". Bref que du sympathique.A acheter sans hésiter pour les fans.

This has a very peaceful and relaxing soundtrack, considering you spend hours in the game blowing stuff up. One of my favourites soundtracks from the Halo Universe.

Ca change assez radicalement des chants grégoriens du premier opus. Les airs sont très différents, plus courts, avec l'emploi de guitare, de piano, et de sons plus "électro" (si je puis dire). Une création moins emblématique, qui ressemble moins au Master Chief, mais qui demeure une belle réussite je trouve.

Sehr schöner, entspannender Soundtrack den man sich auch abends gut anhören kann, wenn man sich von einem anstrengenden Arbeitstag erholen möchte. Die Lieder variieren sehr stark, es gibt sowohl recht ruhig gehaltene Lieder aber es gibt auch sehr raue Lieder. Was man noch gut anmerken kann, ist der Chorgesang, was ein typisches Halo-feeling bei den Liedern erzeugt. Ich kann diesen Soundtrack nur jedem Halo Fan und auch jedem empfehlen, der auf eher ruhigere Klänge steht.
