Insane Bass!
The media could not be loaded. I have been using these subwoofers for several years now. They hit super hard. A word of caution, though, be ready to replace front and rear window seals and tail lights in your car. The amount of bass and SPL that you get from these is absolutely insane. I highly recommend these subwoofers because of their quality and affordability!

Best budget subs you can find please don’t go buy Walmart subs just spend a little extra
Had this in a skar box for about 5 years and it held up on 1200wt the whole time and then I sold it to a kid who blew it up on 1500w5 the first week so I guess if you take care of it and don’t let it clip you’re golden, super loud inverted and beautiful sound for the price a lot of people compare skar to sundown but really it’s in its own playing field these aren’t competition subs but if you want people to know you’re coming down the street they will do fine super heavy high quality magnet I even broke the basket on this by dropping it the first month and it still played beautifully for five years looks super sleek normal or inverted

Well built lil beasts!
These lil guys can make bass like their bigger siblings, still amazes me. Can't say how they perform in super tiny sealed enclosures, but four with their own airspace slotport style put out as much bass as a 1200 watt RMS 12" in big slotport box on the same power, about 950 watts RMS. I bought mine "used" from Skar, as this is where they sell their returns. They all looked brand new, one had been wired up before, and they all functioned perfectly. Skar has excellent customer service and decent quality products at prices impossible to beat. If you're building system on tight budget check here for used gear, if sold by Skar they usually test before send out and will stand behind their products

Best speaker for the price
This speaker is great for the price, it slams, takes abuse well, and sound great. Gonna go with skar in my next build but if your looking to upgrade to these, they are a great choice

Class leader
One of the best 8" subs on the market for the price range. But don't order used or you might end up with a lower lever skar sub like I did. Make sure it's skar used and not amazon resale. They sent me a blown and torn $30 skar xi8 in a evl8 box and it took me a month of back and forth with customer service to get my money back. And after all that im still going to order another one because the subs are that good.

Really good sound for the price, beets the kicker compRT at lower wattage!
I bought some of these to replace the blown door speakers in my 2017 audi q5 with B&O.First off the B&O is garbage and I couldn't find any specs on them so I bought the dual 2 ohm speakers, wired in series for a 4 ohm load just to play it safe and not risk burning up the factory amp. (I'm sure the dual 4 ohm wired in parallel to produce a 2 ohm would hit way harder if I knew I could get away with it on my amp safely). These speakers perform very well and to my surprise produce good mid level sound as well. Unfortunately the speakers are too deep to fit in the front doors :(. Worked great in the back doors but I did have to make custom MDF spacer/adapters for all 4 doors.I installed much shallower 6.75 Kicker compRT in the front doors and the skars in the rear. Comparatively, they are much better than kickers which cost $100 a piece! Sound way better all the way around on the factory amp than the kickers as well! Idk how they would compare with the kickers with a real aftermarket amp, maybe I just am not driving them with enough power. Bottom line is these are fantastic for the price, even better than kickers at lower wattage (about 50w per speaker). One negative about the company, amazon doesn't sell this directly, they just sell it 3rd party so if you need to return any you have to deal with skar directly. It took 2 weeks to get the speakers, and when they didn't fit they tried to make me pay for the return shipping. Had to get Amazon to step in and help.

Reminds me of the old VVX series!!!
Ok, so I want to start off by saying that skar still needs to make harder dust caps, like kevlar at least because they are pretty soft. Thats really the only negative thing about this sub. This review is technically for the VVX 8 I had as well as the EVL 10.My EVL 10 reminds me of the old VVX series subs! I had a VVX 8" on a crappy planet audio amp that absolutely killed the lows!! It took a beating-like a HARD beating for 3 years. My drives were long, 25-30 mins sometimes 40. It nonstop took everything i threw at it. And it sounded AMAZING. Fast foward to when I got a new truck, new job, and upgraded the system to an RP 800.1 D. For 4 months that VVX took waaaaay over its rated power (somewhere around 600 RMS, was giving an easy 1k @ 1ohm). Drives were 50 minutes one way. 2 times a day, 5 days a week. The sub took it ALL. And the only thing that broke was one of the spiders ripped itself off the former! Glue stayed on it! It sounded horrible unfortunately and when i took the coil out, it was only kinda discolored. Insane. It was built super well, too. A single, hard, dense steel mesh bolted to the basket with the motor mounting bolts kept the coil gap safe. BIG a** triple stack monster motor. Cast basket. Nice soft foam surround, paper cone, polypropylene dust cap, etc. Beat the ZVX 8 I got after it (same RP 800.1, not the sundown 2k) died in a week. A 600 RMS DC m3 8: dead in 3 weeks at less than 400 RMS. (SAME POWER RATINGS somehow??)Now, the EVL 10.What. A. Monster. The sub is so heavy for its size! And its an absolute animal. Its giving my Sundown 2k monoblock a run for its money!! Yes, my SAE v.3 is at 3/4 gain (no bass boost on the deck, or any other device, flat eq on my phone) and the sub eats it up!! Wired to 2 ohms because i have stock alt and battery. RIP. Plus I think it helps reduce any weird distortion or other signals (someone correct me on that) and improves sound quality. 1/0 welding cable for power. 12 guage Monster cable for speaker wire. Its in a Q-Bomb box behind the passenger seat of my 2010 f150 and it shakes everything hahaha!!! The sound it produces is identical to the VVX and thats why I chose to include my review of the VVX in this review. Its built like the VVX, nice basket, soft surround, tough cone, big red spider spider pack which the VVX didnt have, and an American voice coil!! Merica! Oh, and she gets lowwwww and still sounds good doing so. Mint! Overall Im super happy with this peaker and will definitely recommend the EVL over the ZVX as the ZVX did not last long (for me, at least.)10 stars from me.
