Great for pupusas. I love making pupusas with this flour. I used to have to make rice flour before instead of with maseca but one day my husband came home and brought me a bag of this flour. At the beginning I didn’t really like it, but overtime I have learned to really depend on PAN when I make my special pupusas and tortillas.

I have Pancolitis which is more serious than just Ulcerative Colitis because the whole colon can be inflamed not just parts of it. I eat this as corn meal mush every morning because it helps me from getting diarrhea. It tastes great. I use a quarter cup to 1 cup of water. I use that ratio so it doesn't get so clumpy.

My invalid wife's caregiver is from Venezuela, and she introduced my wife and myself to the pleasure of eating arepas... it's a bit like an English muffin, but made from a special pre-cooked white corn meal flour, grilled on a griddle, and cut open and typically stuffed with scrambled eggs and cheese. The caregiver makes these every Tuesday for us, and it's a great treat. Of course, it helps to have the right flour... in fact, it's essential, and P.A.N. is what is needed. It's not easy to find in local supermarkets unless they cater to a significant Latin population... but it's very easy, and quite inexpensive, to order it from Amazon. I usually order 3 or 4 bags at a time, and fortunately, if I run out, it's often a next day delivery.

Who would have thought we could make 100% authentic Arepas in the middle of a snowstorm in Canada. This is the real deal.... And saves me airfare. I am still perfecting my recipe... but so far they are incredibly delicious. Does anyone know whether adding oil to the mix is authentic?
