I love this trash can. The size is great. The option to press a button and have the lid stay open (while I scrape my garbage into it) is great. My only issue is, every time I take the lid and ring off to change the trash liner, the battery compartment falls open and I have to push the batteries back in and struggle to get the battery lid to stay closed. It happens EVERY TIME. I don’t know if they are all like that or If I just got one with a defective lid. I now have the battery lid taped close….lame, but at least it works. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.

Love it with the exception of a major design flaw which is: the opening is smaller than a full garbage bag which means you have to really wrestle the bag out of the can. It’s a messy hassle. Other than that it works great.

All I can say is it works, the sensory motion. It will open every time you pass by or you are close to it. Keeps the smell in until it is opened, then you can smell the trash. The size is nice, not too small and not too big. It is 21 gallons so takes a lot of trash and so takes a couple of days to fill up. The opening contraption opens wide enough so that nothing spills on the outside making it last longer looking clean. I'm not sure what it meant by "smudge-proof" but like I said the opening is wide enough for garbage to fit and so I feel there wouldn't be much of anything smudging.

This is a great purchase! It is easy to keep clean. It does help with smells. Con would be that sensor is very sensitive. It opens just when walking past.

Very good boy, this can. I feed it all day and he goes "omnomnomnom" and never feels full. He's a BIG boy. Just gotta give him a bath once in a while (which he fights- tries to bite me while I'm cleaning him) and he's happy to keep on eating. Would recommend.

Really nice looking, holds more than I thought it would & works great.

Us guys always get stuck taking out the trash. This one is big enough that you don’t have to keep taking it out every hour when friends and family come over. Plus if you get the black larger kitchen bags at Costco (33 gallon I think), you can save money on the bags. I bought one years ago. Eventually got another for the garage and the patio.
