Sweet, sexy and all around awesome!
*Review copy provided by NetGalley and the Publisher for an honest review*I've loved the entire Cold Fury series to this point, but Sawyer Bennett took it to another level with Max. This book is by far my favorite in the series so far.Max Fournier is the new starting goalie for the Carolina Cold Fury. He's worked his way back from injury to earn the starting job and his focus is going to be solely on making sure he keeps that position. Well, you know what they say about best laid plans... Hockey was going to be his sole focus until one night he stops by a convenience store to pick up a snack his trainer won't be too happy about if she finds out about it and ends up finding what could be the biggest distraction of both his career and his life.Julianne "Jules" Bradley is doing her very best to keep all the balls she's juggling in the air. She recently took sole custody of her young niece and two nephews following the passing of her sister. She's working two jobs, her day job at the nursing home and her second job at a convenience store just to make ends meet. She's doing a pretty good job, but she's losing herself in the process as every ounce of who she is is going into making sure the kids are cared for best they can be.When Max happens upon Jules in a bit of a difficult situation with some customers at the store, he helps her out and realizes that she's intriguing to him - she's the kind of woman he didn't know he's been looking for. Intriguing to him in the way that yes, he wants to get her into bed, but he also wants to know her. When the extent of what Jules is dealing with is revealed, Max only wants to help her that much more.As the sparks fly between the two of them, will Max's celebrity come between them or will it be Jules' need to be independent that spells trouble for the couple? And, will there be outside forces that end up causing more trouble than what each of them are dealing with independently? What I loved about this book is how realistic is was. Everything that happened could easily happen in real life and for me it made me connect with the characters quickly and that much more. The insecurities that Jules has are those that I think anyone in her situation would face and I think Sawyer Bennett did a fantastic job of conveying those insecurities so you could really understand where she was coming from. And, Max. Oh my...all I can say about him is I wish I could find a guy as sweet, sexy and all around awesome as he was.Kudos Sawyer Bennett - this one is a keeper for sure!

Still one of my all time favorite series!
Love love love this series! Sawyer Bennett scores again with another terrific additional to her phenomenal Cold Fury hockey series. Max and Jules stole my heart early on and held tight through the entire book. I loved that Max is kind of the softy of the group. He is not a player and has no issues with commitment. A true romantic at heart he goes after what he wants and doesn't stop until he gets his girl. Don't get me wrong this book is also packed full of smoking hot love scenes that will surely make you fan yourself. Jules is a wonderful new addition to the hockey girlfriends/wives. Her dedication to her sisters kids was really touching. Her struggle to accept help from Max and the other Cold Fury members was really well written and endearing. I wish that there would have been a bit more drama in this book. There were a lot of little things touched on that brought stress into Max and Jules's lives but I wish there would have been a bit more angst. It seemed like there were a few times in the book that I was waiting for something more to happen. Nevertheless, this book was a fantastic play on the Cinderella story. Zack will still remain my favorite in the series so far but, this one certainly has a place in my favorites as well! I can't wait for the next one!!!!**I was given a free advanced copy of this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. **

Sweet and rough Max
I bought this book and all the previous books in this series because I received a ARC of ROMAN, the seventh book, and I like to read books in their order. I took a chance and I do not regret it. This author never lets me down.I thought Ryker was the man but Max is sailing to the top of my list of Cold Fury Hockey men. This sweet, caring, rough guy is all that Julianne didn't know she needed.Julianne is raising her sisters 3 children after losing her to cancer, she has several jobs to keep their heads above water. Max comes to her rescue at one of her jobs and can't forget her. Can Julianne trust him to really want to be there for them all? This story is about how we can loose our faith in other people because we don't think they can handle our life with all it's messiness. The build up in this story is great and all the feelings had me crying for those two.Their declaration of love for each other was for me the best ever, and wow, the love scenes was hot and heavy.I felt like I got to really know the characters and how they felt for each other. That's a must in my reading experience. The writing style is as always easy and to the point. No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of dialogues makes this book a solid 5 star read.

Boring plot
The storyline was boring. Both main characters were portraited in nice way giving a great opportunity for more interesting story.

CINDERELLA AND THE GOALIE! !!
All you need is love is a truth given to us by this sweet story.Jules is a struggling young woman working two jobs to support herself and 3 kids. The children are her two nephews and one niece left to her guardianship when her sister dies from cancer. Max is a gorgeous young man who is the goalie of the NHL team, the Carolina Cold Fury. These two meet when Jules, whose 2nd job is at a late night convenience store, is being harassed by a couple of thugs and Max nips that problem in the bud! He also waits for her shift to end and escorts her safely home. Over time Max falls deeply for Jules and her little family. In the meantime, social media hurts Jules deeply when they refer to her as a goldigger and women shun her with looks of judgment and accusations. She asks Max to put some distance between themThere is an instant and strong attraction between them and, as their feelings develop stronger over time, they fall in love. But will this survive the storm of criticism? Please buy and read this series!

Max will melt your heart ❤
Max Fournier is what you'd call a good old-fashioned romantic he believes in love, he's ready for it and when he pops into the gas-station he finds it of course it's not that easy he has a challenge on his hands he's got to prove that not only is he good enough for Julianne he has to help show her that she's good enough for herself, him and most importantly the three children she's been raising since her sister passed away.As well as raising three kids Julianne's been working two jobs she has very little time for herself and struggles with childcare issues when she first meets Max she's no idea he's famous both on & off the ice, I suppose you could say he pursues her he helps her in many ways which she's thankful for even if she is reluctant to take his help as she doesn't want to be seen as a gold digger, she wants Max for himself not for his money. They embark on a relationship which sees them falling in love with each other although it's not all plain sailing as Julianne battles with her insecurities, however it does all work out in the end Julianne and the kids move in with Max, they get their HEA.Move over previous Cold Fury men there's a new hottie in the top spot, Max Fournier is hot and sexy he's mine I tell you mine 😉
