Too bad~~~
I paid more than one hundred dollars on this toy, but when I received it, it looks very cheap, I mean the parts are made by cheap material and easy to broken; so I have return this toy already. Not recommend on this...

This is very poorly done.
This story is long and boring and totally turned off my children and their friends. We got through a little bit of it and now I am labeled as the "boring dad." I am a Wind Power major and I expected significantly more out of this. The workmanship was poor and the styrofoam parts never fit right. Great idea but very poorly executed.

Science Fair 1st Place
The hybrid vehicle was the topic for my daughter Gabrielle's Science Project. She was easily able to build the house and the project with very little help from me. With a little coaching on the project and a little direction she successfully won a 1st Place in her fourth grade Science Fair.

kids love it
Two of my homeschoolers have worked on this kit. This is the second one we have had. Some parts are cheap, but they learn how to jerryrig it to work properly. The kit has good ideas that can be built on.

Good deal--if you love cheap materials.
Just got mine, and for $140, you would think it's made of decent material. Nope, It's ALL styrofoam and cardboard. Add to that most of the projects require additional materials to do. Sending mine back, for the price I could get an ACTUAL set of solar panels.

Alternative Energy and Environmental Science Original
This was a very helpful product in teaching alternative energy and it's benefits. Made a nice centerpiece for my daughter's science project.

Not the same version shown in images or described in text
Nothing against this toy. The toy and the company that makes it are great. However this listing is inaccurate. The images and description make it seem you're getting this product: [...] Note the 96-page manual, and the age range of 12 and over. This is the model I wanted, so I bought from this listing. However, what I got in the mail was the cheaper version 2.0: [...] Note that this more limited kit has a 64-page manual, and an age range of 10 and up. To get this settled, I had to pay return shipping, which at $15 was 16% of the cost of the item, even though ToySoup sent the wrong product. Even now, more than a week after clearly notifying ToySoup, this listing still shows the wrong image and description. Not recommended.
