Review: Beatuful fan - Great fan; it is definitely a statement piece. I agree with others that it could spin faster to produce more air. However, due to the size of the 72" fan, it really did not need to. It puts out enough, but it's just not what you think. You would think a fan this size would create a hurricane in your living room. I was expecting the pictures to blow off the wall. Luckily for me, that was not the case. Ensure to ask the seller about the correct down rod. It makes a big difference in airflow. The fan only comes with a 6" down rod; most ceilings will need a longer one. I have a 12' ceiling, so the 36" down rod (Quorum 6-3686) worked great. I don't recommend universal down rods with this fan. I tried that, and the fan made a clicking sound. I reached out to the seller, and they sent me what I needed for a price, of course.

A: The Quorum Windmill Ceiling Fan 197215-86 comes with a 6 Speed Wall Control. There is no optional remote control.

**Q: What is the diameter of the down rod? I need to know, so I can find the right diameter down rod in a 6 foot length.**
A: The diameter of the down rod is 1/2 inch. You can only use a 48 inch down rod on the Windmill Model. This item number for the 48 inch down rod is 6-4886.

**Q: Looking to get a 4 ft down rod for this fan. Is it available on Amazon?   The diameter is an awkward size.**
A: We purchased the longer rod for our fan on Amazon

**Q: What’s the shortest down rod that you can get to match this fan?**
A: The shortest downrod is 6 inches which comes with the fan.  This put the bottom of the blades at 11.5" from the ceiling and the bottom of the fan at 16.5" from the ceiling

This fan is great! It tells you this in the instructions, but make sure you have 3 people hanging the fan. If only two people try to hang it the weight will be distributed unevenly and could damage the fan. It comes with a remote that has 6 different speed settings and a button to change fan direction to have air flow go up or down. Looks beautiful against our stained ceiling.
