Read the instructions. The default setting will pick up WAY more than you want or need. For instance, be sure your recycle bin is empty because it will find everything. Deselect the OS and program files or it will pick up files within there as well Carefully select which formats you need too. It saves files two ways: By file type or by your file structure. I find the file structure type to be more useful. The saving by file type (the default) puts all the files from every entry and all programs on a list strictly by type. This can be useful if all you want are specific types of files. It doesn't appear to work on XP or other older OS's. I'm still trying to get it to work on WIN 7. Works great on Win 10. Over all I'm happy with it.

This product is greatly improved and is simple to use. I'm 77 yo and had no trouble following the app instructions. It was quick and impressive. Highly recommend.

Charge the battery on your device because the PhotoStick uses the charge port, and it’s been running for about two hours on my iPad and only 62% done. There’s only 52% battery juice left. In order to get a charger on I’m going to have to, what? cancel the backup. Now I’m wondering if the PhotoStick will share the charge port with a splitter. TWO HOURS and only 62% DONE. Whew. And the PhotoStick will not work with a lightning splitter. I also suspect it’s trying to backup the videos I’ve downloaded from streaming services, which I don’t really want backed-up. I have 4-6 streaming downloads on the iPad at any given time. I don’t want them as part of my photo/video archive. There also doesn’t appear to be a way to organize the files. They go on organized in folders, but once they are on the PhotoStick they don’t appear to be in any logical order.Backing up the iPhone took OVER 6 HOURS used 57% of battery, then went into PHOTOSTICK MOBILE NOT ACCESSIBLE mode. When I attempted to Chat with Support, the chat applications DID NOT WORK on my iOS browser. Also when attempting to clear the device there was NO DELETE OPTION available as shows up in the app examples. I mean, how bad can it get? Really?

I love the amount of storage this gives but I'm having issues when uploading that there are times it loses connection from my phone yet I haven't moved my phone. I can only upload so many photos b/c of this since there are times I have to cancel an upload and redo it. I'm still learning what this stick can do.

I just received my Photostick (after collecting it from the wrong address), and 30 minutes later I have all my files that I wanted to back up from my Android phone. After installing the app, I plugged in the Photostick and watched the video. I hit a glitch when it said to go up to the menu at the top left, because there was no menu at the top left. A quick Google search said to shut down the app, unplug the stick and start over. That did the trick. The next time I got to the screen in question, the menu was there. After that, it was piece of cake. I didn't want to back up my entire phone, just certain files, and that was easy to do by going to "Manage files." The backup was quick, and from there I simply plugged the USB connector into my PC and copied the files over using Windows Explorer.Aside from the one hiccup on installation, this was a home run. It literally took about 30 minutes total to complete what I wanted to do. I definitely recommend this product. And remember, if you don't see the menu they're talking about, just shut down the app, unplug the stick and plug it back in and it should work fine.

Kudos for a Job well-done in that regard!Like:1. Quality of the product, performance and results!2. Product has a pause download feature that works as intended, and instructions state, with in mind, you may need to disconnect the photo-stick, to complete the time it takes; for all your files and precious memories and video-files to download! That sentence is poorly punctuated and written! 🧑🏽‍🎓Off with his head! 😩Disliked:1. Had to pause download to recharge iPhone!2. Does not support/download audio recorded mp3 files!3. Unfortunate oversight and massive missed opportunity; not including audio MP3 files downloading feature!

As advertised, very easy to install the instructions and the process is very easy to understand. Will recomend.
