Idk about kot, but if you slip them into your shoes you would easily gain a couple of inches to boost your stature, if you had somewhat of a deficit in that area...

It is not hard plastic but it is flexible rubber with good grip..

Mine don't work on my ceramic tiles. Do your stops work on ceramic?

I use mine at work and yes mine slip on some tile floors, although I can always find a random spot that it will stick to. I have to work with it first and then it will stick. I still love this stopper and only have trouble with one door that is extremely heavy with tile flooring. Hope this helps and good luck.

Would they work to prevent break ins ?

On my tile floor they do slide if pushed. I do not think they can prevent break ins. They might slow someone down.
