Very Good Board Game
Very good board game. A little like a thinking-man's Zombicide (2nd Edition) if you've ever played that.Has a nice, small, branching campaign where your previous missions give you different choices on the missions you can undertake next.Creates an emergent narrative through the gameplay which is especially enjoyable if you have a good imagination and like that style of game (like Eldritch Horror and Nemesis).

Arrived promptly but seemed to be missing a zombie and possibly one or two other bits
Arrived promptly but seemed to be missing a zombie and possibly one or two other bits as there were some empty spaces in the protective plastic packaging

True Survival Horror
The game absolutely captures the feel and strategy of the original 1999 game. I was actually playing it at the same time as playing the scenarios (I am not finished yet, just starting the final 2 from the base game box) and I can honestly say that the board game perfectly imitates all the anxiety of looking for the item box, weighing my options of carrying too much just to be safe and having to risk circling back to the item box to make room for key items. The Nemesis is no pushover either, but if you (just like in the video game) are willing to part with 90% of your ammo you can beat him in later scenarios and the reward is worth it. But then again, you're spent for the next mission. The only gripes I have with it are the long setup time (although packing it away is relatively fast) and that sometimes you can be screwed by the dice, but the chances are not far off from the original feeling. By mid-campaign you can upgrade most of your weapons so you have options, just like in the video game, that guarantee you safe passage, but ammo is hard to come by, so it's an important decision everyone has to make for themselves. Also, the campaign sheet is atrocious, I had to scan it and pack it away. Now I am writing on it on my tablet to keep track of the campaign. This is a game that I can absolutely recommend even true solo. Just Jill and her last escape.
