RECOIL RCX694 4-Way 6X9 Inch Car Audio Coaxial Speaker System

Definitely my go to cheap Speakers. They sound great and still do great under low frequencies. And they still seem to get loud without much distortion

Did what I needed to do

for the price they're not bad at all. they're certainly far better than the blown stock speakers in my Corolla. with adapters they fit well and function perfectly. bass production is far less than I expected from them and the highs are much brighter than I think they should be. heavy use of the EQ in the stock stereo shows they can produce a more natural sound. the lack of bass could realistically be caused by the stock stereo.

I had high hopes. These are large 6x9 speakers that look and feel great. The magnets are bigger than the factory and pioneer speakers I bought. However, after the long install, I had distortion all around the cab. Removed one recoil 6x9 and the distortion went away. Closer diagnosis proved the midrange/tweeter center speakers on 6x9 did not have proper connection and spindle holding them was totally loose.

I bought the Recoil 8" sub to replace the blown factory sub in my 04 4runner. I was so impressed with the quality, that I bought these 6x9's to replace the failing front door speakers. The factory JBL speakers are component in the front door. I simply removed the factory speaker and crossover and installed these. The factory speakers are 2ohm and these are 3ish. It's hard to find 2ohm 6x9's that don't break the bank. I was worried these may be a little quiet based on the slightly higher ohm rating. Once I got them hooked up, I found that they were sufficiently loud and sounded great. It has great bass as well as quality mid and treble. It's just a good sounding speaker. I think I will end up buying the 6.5's to replace the rear door speakers as well. I'm just really impressed with the quality and value of Recoil.

For the price I was like it just temp ones I got 2 rears 6x9 and was pretty surprise bass is alright but I’m getting the door speakers and stuff first before doing the subs might just buy the 6.5 door speakers Was going with skar but for the price these are good Wasn’t even up all the way would say like 80% up

Le doy 2 estrellas por 2 buenas razones aún no las eh probado pero supongo que por el precio no deben esperar mucho,pero lo que si realmente puedo decir con mi experiencia con este producto es desde la simple entrega ya que yo lo pedí con la opción de prime y se retraso el paquete 2 veces Y por otra parte las 2 bocinas llegaron un el tweeters fuera de su lugar y sueltos En cuanto al material se sienten muy sensibles tanto el cono de la bocina como el caparazón ya que se siente entre metal y plástico

*UPDATE JUNE 07,2025. Today I updated my factory Chevy Cobalt radio with a Pioneer MVH-S522BS receiver and these speakers are even more amazing! After tweaking EQ and crossover settings I'm in impressed with these speakers. The Pioneer receiver made these speakers sound even better!* It's been a week now since I replaced the rear deck 6x9s in my 2008 Chevy Cobalt with these Recoil Audio 6x9s and I'm extremely pleased with the sound quality and depth they have. Great speakers, great price, for a budget builds, I definitely recommend Recoil Audio! Update: Sept. 23, 2024. I have now had the 6.5 coaxials installed for over a month and I have to say as replacements for my factory speakers in my Cobalt I'm very impressed with these. I installed dynamat on my doors when putting in the 6.5's and even with no amplifier they hit pretty deep and sound really nice I'm very impressed with these speakers as factory replacements. Together with the 6x9's I'm very pleased with how my factory stereo sounds now.

My first pair i bought had manufacturing defect in one the tweeter but other one was fine so gave them a second shot and ordered again after returning them. I’m using a recoil amp sending 80 watts rms to each of them. Them sound really good and clean. Can’t say anything about the midbass as I’m using high pass filter on them alongwith nice sets of 2 12 subwoofer. But the treble and midrange is great on these. Not sure how they’ll perform without amp as i never used without one. Did i forgot to mention there amazing build quality and metal basket. Will definitely recommend if using with amp.
