Cane comes in 3 sections that you screw together. I did have to return the 1st cane I received as the screw in one section was to thin for the hole and pulled apart. But a replacement was sent out pronto and still made it to me in time for convention. It went perfect with my Son's Steampunk cosplay. The cane is solid wood wrapped in leather with cool designs stamped into it. The compass & telescope in the top are both functional and nifty to play with. The replacement cane, when screwed together lined up well with the design pattern to appear seamless the whole way down. It's nice that it comes apart for packing.
