Amazon Basic Care Omeprazole and Sodium Bicarbonate Capsules, 20 mg/1100 mg, 24-Hour Acid Reducer, Frequent Heartburn Relief, 42 Count

I had to write this review because I saw a lot of other reviews with people making terrible comparisons. They keep showing pictures of it next to nexium or other Omeprazole, but this is an equivalent to Zegerid OTC, not the other ones. This is the exact pill size, bottle size, dosage, packaging, etc as Zegerid to the T, but it is even better. In recent years Zegerid has definitely been having quality issues and have seen it pulled from stores a few times. I've even had problems with it either not working or having an adverse reaction from a clump in the bicarbonate. I've been using this Amazon one for months and have been surprised with how well it works. It's basically like how Zegerid used to be back in the day. And all for a third to a quarter of the price! If you aren't familiar with the Omeprazole and Sodium Bicarbonate blend of Zegerid and equivalents, I'll break it down for you. The Omeprazole has the same effect as other Omeprazole pills, but the sodium bicarbonate gives you a nice boost of immediate relief within a few minutes. You'll feel a burp want to come up and you need to let it. It's gonna be an exta fiery burp than normal, but this is what grants you that immediate relief right after. You'll come to expect it and welcome it. You'll feel like a dragon. You need to make sure to take them with a solid 8oz of water. DO NOT DRY SWALLOW THESE. It will be bad news because these shells like to dissolve fast and will stick to moisture. When that happens, the sodium bicarbonate activates and you want to make sure it's actually in your stomach before that happens. I had a bad time with a Zegerid once that didn't make it all the way down before the sodium bicarbonate came out and I felt like I was choking on salt. I know some people take these daily but I only take them as needed when I get acid reflux and it works amazingly.

Way better than regular omeprazole as you get much faster relief.

You must auto ship this. My husband and I cannot be without this in our home. They work better than I ever thought because I have omeprazole prescribed by a doctor and I like these better. Went on vacation with a group of friends and after a horrible dinner, I started handing them out and everyone went on Amazon and immediately ordered them. They’re that good

It worked great instantly, but my stress didn't let it to continue to work. It was doubled by the doctor after UGI.

Excellent medicine at an excellent price.

No more heartburn. The added sodium bicarb is a nice addition.

I like these better than plain ol’ omeprazole. It’s expensive so next time I’ll get them at a store but if they go on sale, it’s a good value.
