Essential upkeep
Replaced the rack & pinion on a Toyota 4R 2000 2.7 L. Brand new.. not rebuilt .. Top quality. Works fine.

1997 Toyota 4runner 2wd
I’ve ordered parts from a-premium. I was skeptical at first because of the inexpensive price. But I can’t afford $1,000 price point for OEM. Fit right in like a glove and it does the job.

So far so good
Bought for 04 Tacoma 2.7L 4x4 and a 5speed manual. Went in easily enough and fit well. The hardest part was getting the old rack off. So far no leaks and the steering feels smooth. Quality seems high enough for a non-OEM part like this. Only time can tell from here on out!

Horrible packaging and shipment handling
Rack had punched out both ends of the box. Steering sector bolt was missing. Not worth returning just to have another arrive the same way. Box needs closed cell foam inserts put in the ends to protect from poor handling and lost parts. Part itself seems solid and of decent quality. Will install tomorrow and see how it does.

Beat Up!!
Part looks well made, unfortunately it is beat up due to lack of better packaging. Senseless to place a ~45lb metal object and throw in a cardboard box, have carrier throw around a bit, what do you think will happen. Just senseless!!!! 3/9/26 UPDATE!! After sending the damaged come back and receiving a replacement, item is working as if it were OEM! No issues to report almost a year in. Rating upgraded from 1 star to 4.

Seller needs to check there quality control on returns
Product looked great, but I returned it unused because I found real the problem before I can cancel. The seller denied refund because they claim product was damaged/used.
