1000 Lumen G4 Tactical Flashlight

I bought a few of these as gifts for friends and ended up buying one for myself as well. I personally think its the best light on the market; for my needs anyway. I'm sure it has all been covered in previous reviews, but here are my reasons why this light is worth it:Cost- Its half the price of similar lights of similar construction, yet with more lumensWeight- it has a lightweight feel, yet sturdy and constructed well- easy to throw in pocketWaterproof- It has a single o-ring on the rear and a double up front for the led housing.Switch Button- it takes a second to get used to, but I like how the rear button switch is actually recessed within the housing; keeps the switch from being accidentally turned on and battery running down without being awareDefault is 1000 lumens- this is actually the best feature IMO. I dont need a strobe, varying colors, reduced lumens... I need a powerful, blinding shot of light at a moments notice to buy me a few seconds. If not... I would go get a mini mag light at home depot? Every time I power this light on, it defaults to the brightest setting. I'm not wanting to mount it on my AR, I'm not wanting a pressure switch, I'm not reviewing a dope sheet in the middle of the night and requiring low visibility...What I am doing is being a typical civilian, unable or not wanting to 'carry' everywhere I go. This light is perfect and if used properly, all you really need to make it home or to your vehicle safely. Love this product.The additional features of reduced lumens and strobe are great, but they require a very sensitive touch. Again... for my needs, I just don't foresee me having the 'touchscreen' sensitivity in a moments notice and startled. Still worth every penny knowing I will never use the additional options.Order with confidence.

This is a very bright, well made flashlight that is an excellent value. It arrived in adequate packaging with simple to follow instructions. After continuous use, the flashlight does get warm, but not uncomfortably hot.The output is very high, and it throws a clear and consistent beam. It will light up a room or a backyardSome reviewers have struggled with cycling through the modes of operations, but I haven’t had any issues. It does take a delicate and quick touch to change the modes. Truth be told, I see no use in the “low” or “strobe” setting- I want a bright flashlight to be bright, so I am very happy just to leave it in "high" mode and toggle on/off without having to click through all three options. Battery life is about 2 hours with inexpensive disposable batteries, and about 3 hours with high end lithium ones.Also- this flashlight is 100% compatible with the “FAB Defense Fab Defense 1in Quick Release Flashlight Adapter, Black” that I purchased on Amazon for a different application. Taken together, these two items make a great value tactical light that has withstood 60 rounds of .223, and is usefully bright for midnight hog hunting.

The flashlight works perfectly in the beginning; however, within a month I began having problems. The light was very bright and featured a strobe and a dimming feature. After a month, I noticed my strobe no longer worked. Days later the extreme brightness I enjoyed with the flashlight no longer worked either. I now only have a dim feature with the light. A friend of mine ordered the same light and the same problems occurred with them as well. Not worth it........ Very disappointed. If the light didn't have any problems I would have been more than satisfied with it.

I bought two of these with 4 Nitecore LIon batteries and two Nitecore chargers. This are GREAT! Don't worry about them getting hot.. they get warm around the bulb, but never hot. This configuration with the Nitecore batteries seem to shine blindingly bright forever! I bought two so I could give my son-in-law who is a police office one, but he said he didn't need it... lucky me! I mounted one on my short barrel 9mm Barretta CX4 Storm with a standard 1 inch tube rail mount and I keep one loose as my go-to flashlight for all occasions. I have dropped it several times from 'hand holding height' onto hard surfaces including concrete with no noticeable damage or effect. I have never dunked it in water, but from the well made construction and deep o-ring on the openings, I assume it is water tight sufficiently for most unintended water contact. Switching to low power mode with the quick gentle button tap takes some getting used to, but once you figure it out, it comes naturally and is fairly easy. This is so bright that anytime I have intentionally or unintentionally shined it in anyone's eyes even up to well over 100 feet away, they complain loudly, shield their eyes with their hand, and yell at me. Great light but it gets real hot to hold in yours hands
